TREASURE Sets Personal Best for Album Sales With 'THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE'
On March 28 KST, TREASURE's label YG Entertainment announced that the group's first mini-album, "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE," had sold more than 800,000 album copies since its release back on February 15 of this year.
According to the label, this marks TREASURE's highest record yet in terms of sales figure for a single album, and are looking forward to becoming a possible million seller after beginning their promotions once again in mid-April.
In fact, during the first week of the release of "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE," Hanteo Chart announced that TREASURE had sold more than 539,000 album copies in just seven days.
It eventually became the K-Pop album released in 2022 with the highest first week sales at the time, and surpassed ENHYPEN's record of over 514,200 copies sold with their album "DIMENSION: ANSWER."
Prior to its release, TREASURE's first mini-album had amounted to 600,000 copies in pre-order sales, raising high expectations for the commercial success of "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE" to become a million seller.
With their latest release, TREASURE has been steadily showing growth and setting new personal records in terms of their album sales, music streams, and Youtube views in the past year.

In fact, "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE" had topped several iTunes charts in 30 different countries and regions, as well as landing atop the Worldwide iTunes Albums Chart.
The album's title track, "JIKJIN," also entered Billboard's Global 200 chart in the United States, as well as cop two music show wins from "Show Champion" and "Music Bank," and place at No. 1 on several major music sites.
Meanwhile, "THE SECOND STEP: CHAPTER ONE" contains a total of six tracks, its title track "JIKJIN," "U," "DARARI," "It's Okay," "BFF," and "Gonna Be Fine."
TREASURE to Release Music Video for 'DARARI'
Meanwhile, YG Entertainment announced their intentions to launch a full-fledged follow-up promotions for TREASURE's B-side track, "DARARI," after the success of their promotions for "JIKJIN."
According to YG Entertainment, the group will be promoting "DARARI" beginning in mid-April, and will be showcasing a brand new choreography for the song, along with an official music video. The label confirmed that TREASURE is beginning their filming for the music video soon.

"DARARI," which was composed and written by TREASURE member Bang Ye Dam, has been receiving a lot of love from fans and non-fans, after a challenge was created on Tiktok with the hashtag "#dararichallenge."
