On March 27, BLACKPINK member Rosé's Instagram comment section was flooded with several malicious comments. Many included the vomiting and snake emojis. Why did this happen?

Because, at the time, Rosé did not leave a happy birthday message for Lisa, who was celebrating her 25th birthday on March 27.

In particular, there were many comments in English. The commenters, who are believed to be Lisa's fans, repeatedly commented, "How can you forget a friend's birthday?" and "You are a fake friend."

In South Korea, many people took to various online community forums to speculate that there was a conflict between the two. People believe this potential discord between the two BLACKPINK members caused Rosé not to post a birthday greeting for Lisa on Instagram.

BLACKPINK Rosé Greets Lisa Happy Birthday Late

Rosé, who is currently in the United States, left a birthday greeting on social media on March 28, KST. Though she greeted her on the right day with her timezone, many people thought she had forgotten to greet Lisa because she did not follow the Korean timezone.

After Rosé posted her birthday greeting for Lisa, the malicious comments stopped.

Many left comments to Rosé after the incident, such as, "We love you," "I hope you do not mind the number of malicious comments," and "I hope the Lisa fans who left malicious comments will reflect and delete their comments."

As of writing, Rosé has not commented on the malicious comments.
