Super Junior Leeteuk Uploads Photo of Message From Someone Impersonating Him + Warns Fans

On March 30, Leeteuk shared a picture on his personal Instagram account to let everyone know that numerous individuals are pretending to be him and are contacting a lot of fans.

The photo he shared is a screenshot of the message from someone who is using his real name (Leeteuk) but has a slightly different IG username from his. Super Junior Leeteuk's official username is only "@xxteukxx."

The message reads:

"Hello. Thank you for your lovely likes and comments on my official page. It's nice to know that I have such a passionate fan. [Sending] lots of love."

In the caption of his Instagram post, Leeteuk said, "Please stop pretending to be me."

He added that he has been receiving messages from many fans, who said that they were contacted by a fake account.

He went on to say, "It's not just one or two times, I've learned that they do it continuously, so fans please be even more careful."

In the past, Super Junior Leeteuk consistently faced trouble from people trying to hack his Instagram account.

It started back in April 2020 when the idol uploaded a screenshot showing a message that is asking him to reset his Instagram password. This kind of message is sent to the user when someone requests access to their account using the "forgot your password" function.

His post included a caption that reads, "You're hacking [my account] every day but stop it. I'm getting bombarded with text messages. Stop it."

Leeteuk has since been sharing this incident with hackers many times on Instagram, with the latest one being in March of last year. So far, he has not complained anything about it in the past few months.

However, it appears like he has a new problem to deal with and it concerns those people pretending to be him and messaging the fans.

Leeteuk to Participate in Super Junior's Special Event in Japan in April

In other news, Leeteuk will take part in Super Junior's upcoming special event in Japan called "SUPER JUNIOR Japan Special Event 2022 ~ Return of the KING~."

This is the first time in more than two years that the boy group will hold an event in the country since their world tour "SUPER SHOW 8: INFINITE TIME" back in February 2020.

Super Junior's special event in Japan will take place for three consecutive days, starting from April 2 to 4. All shows will be held at the Saitama Super Arena. In addition to performances, the members also plan to have a fun talk with the fans.

Nine members of the group were initially confirmed to participate in the event. However, Shindong was diagnosed with COVID-19 on March 26, hence, he will no longer be present.
