On April 1, K-Pop Radar's monthly charts for the most viewed K-Pop music videos on Youtube have been updated to reflect the data that were accumulated for the month of March. From (G)I-DLE's "TOMBOY" to Stray Kids' "MANIAC," these K-Pop music videos garnered the most views on Youtube in March 2022!

(G)I-DLE's 'TOMBOY' is the Most Viewed K-Pop Music Video in March 2022

Landing at the top spot in the list as the most viewed K-Pop music video for the month of March, is none other than Cube Entertainment's top girl group, (G)I-DLE, and their most recent release "TOMBOY."

According to K-Pop Radar, "TOMBOY," which was released back on March 14, had garnered a total of 75,891,555 views for its music video on Youtube for the month of March alone.

"TOMBOY" is the lead single of (G)I-DLE's first studio album "I Never Die." It was written by member and leader, Soyeon, alongside Pop Time and Jenci for the arrangement. The song, which is described to be pop punk and rock, features lyrics about a woman being independent and breaking the stereotypes of what a "perfect" girlfriend should be.

"TOMBOY" also marks (G)I-DLE's first music release as a five-member group, following the withdrawal of Soojin back in August 2021 due to her school bullying controversy.

Following the release of "TOMBOY," the song went on to peak at No. 1 on Gaon's Digital Chart. It also landed in several Billboard charts, such as No. 12 on World Digital Song Sales Chart, No. 58 on Global 200, and entering Billboard Malaysia, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Singapore, and Taiwan charts.

As of writing, "TOMBOY" currently has over 76.2 million views.

Stray Kids' 'MANIAC' is the Second Most Viewed K-Pop Music Video in March 2022

Following behind "TOMBOY" as the second most viewed K-Pop music video for the month of March is power performers, Stray Kids, and their latest track "MANIAC."

"MANIAC," which was released back on March 18 and serves as the lead single for Stray Kids' sixth mini-album "ODDINARY," had garnered a total of 51,230,695 views on Youtube in March.

"MANIAC" is described to be influenced by Middle-Eastern sounds and a mix of EDM trap. The song was written by 3Racha, which is Stray Kids' very own production team which consists of members Changbin, Han, and Bang Chan, with the latter also handling the song's arrangement.

Lyrically, "MANIAC" is about expressing the "odd" people who break away from the "ordinary" social norms and expectations of society, and compared them to Frankenstein.

Following the song's release, "MANIAC" entered numerous charts around the world, such as No. 1 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales Chart, No. 19 on Billboard' Bubbling Under Hot 100 Singles, No. 21 on U.K's Official Indie Chart, No. 98 on the Official Singles Chart, and No. 29 on Gaon's Digital Chart.

As of writing, "MANIAC" has a more than 51.7 million views.
