BTS Fails to Win Best Pop Duo/Group at 64th Grammy Award
On April 3 local time, BTS attended Music's Biggest Night, the 64th Grammy Awards, held at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, United States.
Following the group's head-turning red carpet appearance in a Louis Vuitton ensemble, the seven-piece boy group spiced up the Grammy ceremony by giving an exciting and one-of-a-kind performance of their 2021 hit English single "Butter."
After the performance, all that was left for both BTS and ARMY is waiting for the announcement of the Grammy winner for the Best Pop Duo/Group Performance category, in which BTS was nominated for their second time with "Butter." The group was nominated in the same category back in 2021 for their 2020 release and first English single "Dynamite."
For Best Pop Duo/Group Performance, BTS' "Butter" was in the run for the award alongside top contenders such as Coldplay's "Higher Power," Justin Bieber and Benny Blanco's "Lonely," Tony Bennett and Lady Gaga's "I Get a Kick Out of You," and Doja Cat featuring SZA's "Kiss Me More."

However, after much anticipation, BTS failed to earn their first Grammy Award after the category was snagged by Doja Cat and SZA's collaboration track "Kiss Me More."
ARMYs Show Support for BTS After Group Fails to Nab Grammy Award
Despite BTS' loss, ARMY believes that the group's appearance, performance, and second nomination at the Grammy Awards is already a big win in their books. In fact, BTS is the first K-Pop group to ever perform and receive a nomination at the highly-acclaimed awards ceremony.
Following the loss, ARMY made sure to express their utmost support and show how proud they are of the group.
Over on Twitter, ARMY began sharing heartwarming messages to BTS, and even trended several keywords and hashtags worldwide.
Keywords and hashtags that began trending are "THANK YOU BTS," "#OurProudBTS," "#Got_ARMY_Right_Behind_U," "#YouAreNot7WithUs," and "Congratulations BTS," among numerous others.

Some messages from ARMY read, "You make us proud, my beautiful boys. We are right behind you today and always," "OUR KINGS, OUR LEGENDS, OUR PRIDE. ALWAYS OUR WINNERS. WE PURPLE YOU," "Words can't describe how much we love and proud of you guys @BTS_twt You are and always be the best of the best!," "A Grammy means nothing when you are BTS. Nobody is doing it like them. BTS doesn't need the Grammys, the Grammys need BTS," and more.
Non-BTS fans also showed their disappointment that the group didn't win the award, and expressed their thoughts that BTS deserved the Grammy.
Following the awarding for the category, the hashtag "#scammys" also began trending on Twitter to criticize the awards ceremony.
