"K-pop Kings" BIGBANG is finally back with their new song "Still Life," and their latest release had already attained several milestones, some of which will be part of K-pop history!

BIGBANG's 'Still Life' Hits Various Milestones a Few Hours After Release
On April 5 at midnight KST, BIGBANG's "Still Life" officially came out. This is the group's first music release in four years since dropping "Flower Road" in March 2018.
Featuring an organic and warm band sound, "Still Life" captures the flow of time throughout the seasons as the four BIGBANG members look back on their youth. T.O.P and G-Dragon co-composed and co-written the lyrics.

As this is BIGBANG's new song in four years, worldwide fans have shown a lot of interest ever since YG Entertainment officially announced the quartet's comeback. And, the fans' support is evident in the multiple achievements the track has attained just a few hours after it arrived!
Only an hour following its release, BIGBANG's "Still Life" had already sold more than one million digital copies in China, demonstrating the boy group's incredible fame in the country.
"Still Life" has become the first single to reach one million sales in China after the nation implemented the "No More Mass Buying" system. It is also now the best-selling song of any artist, surpassing EXO Lay's "East" which only sold over 878,000 copies.

In South Korea, BIGBANG's new song entered at No. 26 on MelOn's 24Hits chart within an hour of its release. Its position is the highest debut by a K-pop group on the chart in history.
It also scored the highest debut by a K-pop group on FLO after the chart's reform. The track impressively landed at No. 25.
Over on YouTube, BIGBANG's "Still Life" music video hit one million likes in three hours and 11 minutes. It has now broken the record for the fastest K-pop MV released in 2022 to attain this milestone. The previous holder is Stray Kids' "MANIAC" which gained one million likes in six hours.

"Still Life" went on to chart within the top 10 of MelOn 24Hits chart after debuting at No. 26. It rose to No. 9 after three hours of its release.
With this, it is now the fastest song by an idol group to land within MelOn 24Hits top 10. It is also the second-fastest song by a K-pop artist after IU's "Celebrity" and "LILAC," which both achieved this feat in just two hours.

Moreover, BIGBANG's "Still Life" has set a new record for the highest hourly unique listeners on MelOn Top 100 in history. It accumulated 146,721 unique listeners, beating the previous record of 115,743 unique listeners that IU's "Strawberry Moon" obtained.
At 8 a.m. KST on April 5, "Still Life" has hit No. 1 on the MelOn Top 100. It becomes the fastest 2022 song by a K-pop artist to do so, beating the initial record of 15 hours set by Taeyeon's "INVU."
As of 9 a.m. KST, BIGBANG's new song has successfully reached No. 1 on FLO. It secured the top spot of the chart in only nine hours, becoming the fastest idol group song to do so since the chart's reform.
