SEVENTEEN Wonwoo's Mother Passes Away; Pledis Entertainment Issues Notice
On April 6, Pledis Entertainment released an official statement to inform everyone that SEVENTEEN Wonwoo's mother has passed away.
The agency said, "SEVENTEEN member Wonwoo's mother passed away this morning from an illness."
They continued that Wonwoo is currently at the funeral hall and that the funeral will take place with family and close friends.
Pledis finally stated, "We ask for your consideration and support so that Wonwoo can have a period of mourning with his family. May she rest in peace."

Last year, SEVENTEEN Wonwoo took to Weverse to share that he's worried about the people around him getting sick. It turns out that his mom is one of those people.
He has also been making posts on Weverse to remind everyone to eat healthy food and avoid getting sick.
Wonwoo never mentioned this to his fans even once, hence, Carat (SEVENTEEN's fandom) is expressing their shock about this saddening news. They also feel upset after knowing the fact that the male idol has kept this burden for a long time.

SEVENTEEN Reveals Teaser Schedule for Their First English Digital Single
In other news, SEVENTEEN is gearing up for their return to the K-pop scene with their first-ever English song as a group. It will be a pre-release track for their May comeback.
On April 5 at midnight KST, the boy group dropped the teaser schedule for their upcoming digital single. They will first reveal the title poster on April 7 before sharing various teasers in the following days.

The group will then finally release the English song on April 15 on various music streaming platforms, together with the music video.
SEVENTEEN's upcoming English digital single will mark their first music release this 2022. Their latest work is their Japanese single "Power of Love," which came out in December 2021.
After the release of the English song on the 15th, the group's first movie, titled "SEVENTEEN Power of Love: The Movie," will premiere in worldwide theaters on April 20 and 23. In France and Japan, the film will be released on April 21 and 29, respectively.
Meanwhile, the 13-member boy group has also started the countdown for their comeback in May.

On April 4 at midnight KST, a teaser video called "SEVENTEEN NEW RINGS CEREMONY: The Sun Rises" was uploaded to YouTube. It runs for three minutes and tells a story about the band.
As previously announced, SEVENTEEN will drop their fourth studio album, which will be their first full-length album in two years and eight months since releasing "An Ode" in 2019.
It will also be their first album in seven months since their ninth mini-album "Attacca" arrived in October 2021.
Since SEVENTEEN's latest albums "Your Choice" and "Attacca" both achieved massive success last year, particularly selling over one million copies, the anticipation of their upcoming studio album is steadily increasing.
