SHINEE Onew Records Most No. 1 on iTunes Album Charts for K-pop Soloist in 2022
On April 11 at 6 p.m. KST, SHINee member Onew returned to the music scene with his second mini-album "DICE." This EP marks his first solo comeback since his solo debut back in 2018.
Shortly after its release, the mini-album showed amazing performance on music charts, not only in South Korea but all over the world.

In particular, SHINee Onew's "DICE" had reached No. 1 in a total of 40 countries as of April 12, including the United States, Japan, Australia, Norway, Indonesia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Spain, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, Chile, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Macau, Peru, and many more.
With this result, SHINee Onew is now the K-pop soloist with the most No. 1 on iTunes Album charts in 2022. EXO Suho previously held this record with his second mini-album "Grey Suit," which achieved 33 No. 1s as of April 5.

Moreover, Onew is also now the first K-pop artist to debut at No. 1 on the US iTunes Album Chart in 2022. His second mini-album "DICE" even ranked first on both the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart and the European iTunes Album Chart.
In South Korea, "DICE" rose to the top of domestic album charts, such as the Hanteo Chart, Hot Tracks, and Yes24.
Meanwhile, SHINee Onew's "DICE" consists of a total of six new songs including the title track of the same name.

SHINee Onew's "DICE" Debuts on Korean Music Charts, Records Soloist's Highest First-Day Sales
SHINee Onew's new title track "DICE" is also receiving attention in South Korea.
As of 7 p.m. KST on April 11, the song debuted at No. 3 on Bugs, No. 99 on MelOn, and No. 103 on Genie. It also entered the top 10 of Japan's Line Music chart.
On April 12, "DICE" consistently ranks high on Bugs. It ranked No. 9 as of noon KST.
When it comes to sales on the Hanteo Chart, SHINee Onew's "DICE" impressively sold a total of 52,163 copies on April 11 alone. This sales figure is six times bigger than the first-day sales of Onew's debut EP "Voice" (8,690 copies).
This only shows a significant increase in Onew's popularity around the world.

In addition to breaking the soloist's first-day sales record, "DICE" has also beaten the singer's first-week sales record in just one day. "Voice" only sold a total of 31,552 copies in the first week.
With six more days to go before the official first-week sales of SHINee Onew's "DICE" come to an end, the amount is projected to further grow in the following days.
Meanwhile, the music video for "DICE" continues to gain views on YouTube. It surpassed one million views in less than 10 hours after its release. It has over 1.5 million views, as of this writing.
