BTS RM Reveals He Prefers Speaking English Over Korean

According to RM, he shares that he sometimes prefers to speak in English more than his own mother tongue, Korean. English is more comfortable for him.
"What I felt while performing in Las Vegas is that I sometimes feel comfortable speaking in English," RM said.
BTS RM Explains He is More Cautious Speaking in Korean
He then revealed his reasoning and explained that whenever he speaks in Korean, there are times where he can not express himself in a way he wants. He also tends to be more cautious of what he says.
However, when he speaks English, RM shares how he is more casual and can just simply express his feelings and says what he wants straight away.
"I didn't study abroad or anything, But sometimes, I become more honest when speaking in English. When speaking in Korean, I tend to be more cautious. When speaking in English, you know, it's just 'No man, it's not a problem.' I'm like this," he said.
But due to how the Korean language was structured and the formalities that come along with it, it can not be held that RM is more cautious when speaking it.
RM said, "But when I speak in Korean, I'm like 'Hello, thank you for joining us today.' Like this difference."
To this day, RM still puts a lot of effort into perfecting his English-speaking skills. In fact, he shared in the past that people thought he could easily speak English whenever he wants. However, RM explains that his English gets bad if he does not speak it for just a month.
