'True Beauty' Creator Yaongyi Names Two Female Idols as Inspiration for Her Webtoon's Characters
Yaongyi, who is the creator of the popular webtoon series "True Beauty," recently made a guest appearance on the April 13 broadcast of the long-running MBC variety program "Radio Star." She is a guest with WINNER's Song Mino, Jun Hyun Moo, and Han Suk Joon.
During the broadcast, Yaongyi mentions how she always tries to be updated and stay on top of the latest trends happening around the world, as this will allow her to incorporate what is new into her works.
In order for Yaongyi to stay up-to-date when it comes to the latest beauty and fashion trends, she reveals that she would often get her inspiration from popular K-Pop stars!
"New webtoon episodes are published every week, so I try to reflect the current trends at that moment in time. In terms of the webtoon characters' clothing and makeup, I would always use idol stars as a reference," Yaongyi said.
To this, Yaongyi was asked which among the hundreds of K-Pop idols in the industry she has her eye on these days.
Yaongyi then revealed that she takes inspiration from for her drawings, and it is none other than IVE member Jang Wonyoung and NMIXX member Sullyoon!

"They are both so pretty," Yaongyi said regarding the idols.
It's not a surprise that Jang Wonyoung and Sullyoon were chosen as Yaongyi's inspiration when it comes to creating and designing her characters, considering that the two rookie idols are taking the world by storm for their doll-like beauty, and are known as two of the top visuals among fourth generation idols.
With their status, Yaongyi will surely get to know a lot of trends from the rising stars.

IVE and NMIXX's Latest Activities
In other news, NMIXX members Jiwoo and Haewon recently tested positive for COVID-19, as announced in a statement by the group's label JYP Entertainment on April 7 and 8, respectively.
Members Kyujin and Bae had tested positive and recovered from COID-19 back in February, while Sullyoon and Jinni tested positive in March.
As for IVE, the group recently made a comeback back on April 5 with their second single album "Love Dive," featuring a title track of the same name.
