While many were happy about IVE's victory, most people were more interested in their encore stage. When IVE first debuted with "ELEVEN," the group drew controversy for their unstable live vocals.

As they returned with a new song, many wanted to see if the girl group had improved.

People believe that compared to "ELEVEN," IVE's vocal ability has improved somewhat. However, the girl group drew criticism for singing the whole song together. People believe that by singing in unison, they tried to cover up any vocal weaknesses in the group.

Internet users claimed the group seemed afraid to sing their parts alone, as a member could draw criticism if they were out of tune, if their voice cracked, or if they were caught lip-syncing.

Two members that drew the most criticism are Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin. This is because they first debuted as idols in 2018 as members of IZ*ONE, yet their vocals have not improved. The other members were given the benefit of the doubt, as they are still rookies. Rei even garnered praise as the member with the best vocals.

Comments concerning IVE's "LOVE DIVE" encore stage read:

"Rei sings the best in the group, and the other girls sound monotonous. Wonyoung can't sing. We can excuse the other girls, but Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin have been idols for three years, but their vocals have receded instead of improved."

"They are good at singing in the chorus, but they look scared when they need to sing alone."

"Are they singing together to hide their individual weakness?"

"What kind of encore stage is this? Am I listening to the karaoke version of 'Love Dive'? Then why are they singing in unison to hide each member's weakness?"
