IVE Wonyoung and Yujin opt to use their full names for promotions again. In response, fans and netters reacted positively after Starship Entertainment agreed to this. Why is it a big deal though?
DIVEs Notice IVE Jang Wonyoung, Ahn Yujin Are Using Full Names for Promotion Once Again
On April 20, internet users on online communities were delighted to see that the two IVE members were using "Jang Wonyoung" and "Ahn Yujin" to promote themselves as entertainers once again. This is the same when they were still in IZ*ONE.
DIVEs (IVE fans) shared on online communities that when you search for the "ELEVEN" singers' profiles, both idols' full names will appear. In fact, the hashtags #ANYUJIN and #JANGWONYOUNG were also used as their official tags on social media platforms, particularly on Twitter.

Seeing this slight changes feels like a huge deal among fans, who commented:
"Jang Wonyoung is like a brand, I think it's better for her to user her full name."
"Yujin is a common name, so it's best to add her surname."
"It felt incomplete not calling them in their full names."
"It's really a good thing that Starship officially changed their stage names into their full names for promotion."
Here Are Reason Fans Want IVE Yujin, Wonyoung to Use Their Full Names for Promotions
If you are wondering why a lot of netizens want the "Love Dive" singers to use their full names, this discussion actually started in December last year, less than a month after their debut.
For context, Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin debuted in IZ*ONE in 2018. They used their full names when introducing themselves. Fans become used to these names, but as well as media outlets when releasing news about them.
However, Starship Entertainment before their official debut registered their stage names "Won Young" and "Yujin" to apparently start anew with IVE.
Following their official debut in December 2021, Jang and Ahn became hot topics, reigning on SNS as the most popular IVE members. But then when the individual brand reputation for that month was released, K-pop enthusiasts were shocked when Wonyoung and Yujin ranked even lower than their maknae Leeseo, despite their popularity.
As the brand reputation index is one of the credible methods to determine an idol's popularity, netizens were skeptical about the result.
Just then, DIVEs noticed that the low ranking was caused by Starship. They make them use stage names rather than their full names, which are more known in the general public.
As official hashtags were only computed for the brand reputation index on the sns category, the tweets and mentions for Jang Wonyoung and Ahn Yujin which were relatively higher were unfortunately not calculated and added to their final scores.
In response, fans sent letters to Starship Entertainment to convey this concern. After four months, the agency seemed to finally follow the suggestions of DIVEs and internet users.
