Being a K-Pop star is not all about singing, rapping, and dancing on stage. While that is the main job of most musicians, there are also several of them who pursue other jobs outside of music. Some of them are MCs, acting in dramas, joining variety shows, and more.
However, some also break away from the go-to jobs of stars, and venture into new territory that you might not have expected. With that, here are five K-Pop stars who went beyond being a performer and pursued other jobs outside of music.
1. Former miss A Fei - E-Commerce Livestreamer
Back in September 2021, former miss A member Fei became an e-commerce livestreamer, where she is the Chief Fashionista of Alibaba's Tmall Celebrity Pick. It is a digital platform featuring a group of celebrities who host livestream sessions in collaboration with products and brands. For Fei, she hosts "Fei's Fashion," which includes products ranging from accessories, fashion, beauty, food, and more.
2. Jay Park - Founder of Soju Brand
Aside from being a rapper, Jay Park is also the founder and former CEO of hip hop labels AOMG and H1GHR Music, and is currently the CEO of his new label More Vision. But besides being a CEO of music labels, Jay Park recently launched his own soju brand called Won Soju in April. This is already seeing great success by overselling 63,000 bottles of soju in less than 30 minutes!

3. EXID Solji - University Professor
Prior to making her debut with EXID, Solji worked as a vocal trainer for idol trainees. So it's not a surprise that Solji was appointed as a vocal teacher for Yongin University's Department of Applied Music. With Solji's powerful vocals, and her degrees in applied music and practical music, her students are sure to learn a lot!
4. Former AOA Yuna - Yoga Instructor
Yuna departed from FNC Entertainment in January 2021 due to her contract expiration, and later withdrawed from AOA. Yuna went on to pursue a life outside of the entertainment industry by becoming a yoga instructor and opening her own studio called Yunastudio. She also often updates fans with her life as a yoga instructor on social media.
5. Jessica Jung - Founder of Fashion Brand, Author
After withdrawing from Girls' Generation, Jessica Jung went on to pursue her fashion brand called Blanc & Eclare in 2014. After eight years, the brand has grown into a full-blown business with more than 60 locations around the world, and its very own flagship store in New York and Seoul. Aside from that, Jessica Jung also became New York Times' Best-Selling Author for her novels "Shine" and "Bright."
