Cosmic Girls Member Gains Attention for Being 'SNSD Taeyeon' Lookalike

On April 20, Cosmic Girls member Yeoreum updated her personal Instagram accounts with three new selfies. She captioned this with, "It looks like something (fruit emojis) today."

In the images, Yeoreum flaunts her flawless skin, ash brown hair, and light makeup.

But, what captured fans' attention the most is how she resembles another renowned female K-pop idol in the photos.

In the comments section, most fans pointed out that Cosmic Girls Yeoreum looks like Taeyeon of Girls' Generation.

Some of the comments are "Oh my! I thought it was Taeyeon," "Something like Taeyeon today," "You look a little bit like Taeyeon," "I mistook you for Taeyeon," "You seem to be a twin of Taeyeon here," and more.

As of this writing, Yeoreum's Instagram post has surpassed 40,000 likes.

Cosmic Girls Yeoreum's Recent Activities

At present, Yeoreum is taking part in Mnet's survival show "Queendom 2" along with her fellow Cosmic Girls members. The girl group is competing against other female K-pop artists, such as LOONA, VIVIZ, Brave Girls, Kep1er, and former SISTAR Hyolyn.

Prior to their participation in the reality show, Cosmic Girls' sub-unit WJSN Chocome released their second single album "Super Yuppers!" on Jan. 5. The single album marks the unit's first-ever comeback since their debut back in 2020.

Additionally, "Super Yuppers!" marks Cosmic Girls' first music release this year. Their last work in 2021 is the promotional single "Let Me In" in collaboration with the fandom platform UNIVERSE for its Universe Music project.

For starters, WJSN Chocome is composed of four members, namely Yeoreum, Dayoung, Luda, and Soobin.

"Super Yuppers!" consists of two new songs titled "Super Yuppers" and "Choco Milk." 2AM Changmin is credited as a songwriter and composer in both songs.

Following its release, the title track "Super Yuppers" debuted at No. 171 on the Worldwide iTunes Song Chart, becoming the sub-unit's first-ever entry on the chart.

In South Korea, the track entered at No. 7 on Bugs' real-time chart. It also landed at No. 59 and 586 on the daily charts of Bugs and Genie, respectively.

In the first week, WJSN Chocome's "Super Yuppers!" sold a total of 10,002 copies. This figure is the third-highest first-week sales among the sub-units of the girl group.

The highest first-week sales amount for a WJSN sub-unit is 46,106 copies sold by WJSN The Black, followed by WJSN Chocome's "Hmph!" which sold 12,087 copies.
