Allen Ma, commonly called Allen, is a South Korean singer and member of CRAVITY, a nine-piece boy group under Starship Entertainment. He made his debut as the main dancer and lead rapper in the band in 2020.

In CRAVITY, Allen is the only foreign member. While his bandmates are all Korean, he is Taiwanese-American. He was born in Taipei, Taiwan but later relocated to Los Angeles, California when he was five years old.

CRAVITY Allen Training History

Although he made his debut as an artist under Starship Entertainment, CRAVITY member Allen initially trained at JYP Entertainment along with the Stray Kids members. He started his training in 2016, but left the company two years later.

It is said that he was supposed to compete in the 2018 "Stray Kids" survival show but was "replaced" by Lee Know before the first episode aired. Rumors have it that CRAVITY Allen himself said this during an Instagram live.

It is speculated that Allen was removed from the Stray Kids lineup because he's Chinese. Given his nationality, JYP Entertainment allegedly terminated its contracts with foreign trainees to avoid further controversies following Tzuyu's scandal where she raised the flag of Taiwan on a South Korean TV show.

CRAVITY Allen Songwriting Credits

After CRAVITY made their debut in April 2020, Allen started to participate in the production of his group's album as a songwriter.

In their comeback album "Hideout: The New Day We Step Into - Season 2," Allen wrote the lyrics for the B-side songs "Believer" and "Realize."

In 2021, CRAVITY made two comebacks with one new album each, and Allen took part in both albums.

The Taiwanese-American idol is credited as a songwriter in the B-side tracks "Call My Name," "Mammoth," and "Moonlight" from "Hideout: Be Our Voice - Season 3."

He also penned the title song "Gas Pedal" and the B-sides "Give Me Your Love" and "Grand Prix" from "The Awakening: Write in the Stars."

In 2022, CRAVITY Allen wrote three songs from "Liberty: In Our Cosmos," particularly the title track "Adrenaline" and the B-side songs "Pow!" and "Outro: In Our Cosmos."
