On April 26, a post on Nate Pann titled "aespa Giselle's legendary Photoshop" went viral on community forums. In the post, the original poster shared side-by-side photos of aespa member Giselle along with the caption, "Isn't she overdoing it? It almost looks like two different people."

The photos on the left are selfies Giselle shared on aespa's Instagram and Twitter. The idol has a small, v-shaped jaw and a high nose bridge in these photos. The tip of her nose is rounded and narrow. Her eyes are big, and her aegyosal is prominent in the pictures. Additionally, her eyebrows are straight and perfectly done.

The photos on the left are of Giselle from aespa's Coachella 2022 performance. Giselle's face appears rounder and chubbier in these photos, and her v-shaped jaw is not as prominent.

In addition, while still tall, her nose is not as sharp as in her selfies. Her nose is also not as narrow.

Her eyes also appear smaller, and her aegyosal is less prominent.

Many criticized the idol for overly editing her selfies, saying that she does not look like herself in her selfies. In addition, people wondered why idols "go so hard" on the Photoshop when they are public figures who are always photographed in public.

Reporters in South Korea often do not edit photos and upload raw files online, meaning anyone can see how they truly look.

Other idols accused of overly editing their photos include MOMOLAND member JooE and Red Velvet member Yeri.

However, some people defended Giselle. They claimed it was normal for people to Photoshop their pictures and that most girls in South Korea use editing applications to look prettier in real life. Others slammed the original poster, saying that Giselle is still prettier than her in real life.

On the other hand, people believe Giselle simply gained weight, which is why she looks different in her photos.
