BIGBANG has set a new record on MelOn, simultaneously setting a new milestone for YG Entertainment.
BIGBANG's 'Still Life' Sets New Record as Longest No. 1 YG Entertainment Song on MelOn
Back on April 5, legendary boy group BIGBANG made their highly-awaited comeback with the release of their single "Still Life."
"Still Life" marked the group's first release in four years since "Flower Road" in 2018, as well as their first release as a four-member group following Seungri's departure back in 2019 amid his involvement in the "Burning Sun" scandal.
Following the release of "Still Life," the song saw success on numerous music charts both domestic and international, such as topping charts and achieving a certified perfect all-kill (PAK).
More recently, BIGBANG is continuing their streak of setting new records with their new single.
Just 22 days after the release of "Still Life," the song remains atop of MelOn's Daily Chart in South Korea, simultaneously setting a new record as the longest-running No. 1 song by a YG Entertainment artist this decade!
With this, BIGBANG's "Still Life" has surpassed labelmate juniors BLACKPINK's song "How You Like That" for the title.
In addition, BIGBANG also set another record on MelOn, as "Still Life" has now recorded more than 500 hours being at No. 1 on MelOn's Top 100 chart.

This means that "Still Life," which maintained its spot at No. 1 for 504 hours and counting, became the first song by an idol group to do so under MelOn's current system.
The previous highest record on MelOn's Top 100 was (G)I-DLE's "Tomboy," which was atop the chart for 350 hours, followed by aespa's "Savage" at 259 hours.
Other BIGBANG 'Still Life' Achievements
Aside from "Still Life"'s achievements in South Korea, the song also landed atop numerous charts around the world.
Over on Billboard in the United States, "Still Life" made its debut on the Global 200 chart at No. 9 after recording more than 34 million streams and 29,700 albums sold worldwide.
This makes "Still Life" the first song by BIGBANG to enter the chart, and making them the third K-Pop group to land within the Top 10, following BTS and BLACKPINK since the Global 200 chart's inception back in 2020.
