DIA Chaeyeon Diet Plan 2022: Here's How the 'WOOWA' Singer Lost Weight

DIA Chaeyeon always had a slender figure even when she was carrying out activities as an I.O.I member back in 2016-2017. Because of her profession as a K-pop idol, she makes sure that she maintains that body shape of hers all the time.

DIA Chaeyeon Diet Plan 2022: Here's How to Be Slim Like the "WOOWA" Singer

Back in 2016, DIA Chaeyeon once sat down for a pictorial interview with International BNT. During the talk, the female idol shared how she managed to lose weight in a few months.

Chaeyeon shared, "I started off at 64kg (141 lbs) and lost 16kg (35lbs) in three months. I ate almost nothing, and only ate soft tofu and soy milk."

Tofu is a cholesterol-free, low-calorie, and high-protein food that can help you lose weight by keeping you fuller for a longer time on fewer calories compared to meat.

Soy milk is also a big help in weight loss as it contains a reduced amount of calories and sugar content unlike cow's milk.

DIA Chaeyeon continued, "If I wanted to eat more, I would eat cherry tomatoes. On top of that, doing dance practice helped me lose weight."

Because DIA Chaeyeon's career involves not only singing but also dancing, the female idol requires dance practices. This takes up to a couple of hours per day.

An average K-pop group needs to do at least five days of practice, which will last for two to three hours each day. The length of practice actually depends on the upcoming schedule. If they are to hold a concert or give a performance at a music awards ceremony, the practice can be for more than three hours.

About how she maintains her weight, Jung Chaeyeon shared the effects of her diet plan that only consisted of soft tofu and soy milk. She revealed, "My overall health, including my blood pressure, became bad. Because I have to work, I eat properly nowadays."

Although DIA Chaeyeon's diet plan is effective, it is recommended to be done for only a short time as it may affect one's overall health just like what happened to the female idol.

When asked about how she takes care of her health, the "On the Road" singer said that she takes vitamins and other supplements. She added, "When I have a chance to eat, I eat well."

While going on a diet is one of the main and effective ways to lose weight, it is important that your body still receives the right amount of nutrients and minerals to continue functioning well.

DIA Chaeyeon's Recent Activities

Chaeyeon is yet to return to the music scene together with her fellow DIA members. The girl group's last comeback was back in June 2020 with their sixth EP "Flower 4 Seasons."

"Flower 4 Seasons," however, only featured five members, without Chaeyeon and Somyi due to personal reasons. This means it has been a long time since Chaeyeon released new music.

While his group is currently inactive in the K-pop scene, Chaeyeon participated in I.O.I's live stream show in May 2021 in celebration of their fifth debut anniversary.

Last year, she also played one of the main roles in "The King's Affection," along with SF9 Rowoon, Park Eunbin, Nam Yoon Su, and more.

This year, DIA Chaeyeon was chosen to be one of the cast members of "Golden Spoon," which will air on MBC in the summer of 2022. She is probably currently busy filming the scenes for the upcoming drama.
