The Top 10 most-mentioned artists on social media in April 2022 have been revealed, and some of them are K-pop idols. From BTS Jungkook to BLACKPINK Lisa, here are the K-pop acts who made it to the list!
Most-Mentioned Artists on Social Media (April 2022): BTS Jungkook Ranks #1
On April 30, NetBase Quid released the top 10 most-mentioned artists on social media for April this year, and the celebrity who ranked first is none other than BTS member Jungkook.
Although the "Butter" singer had no long-term activity during the month of April, Jungkook surpassed other top-tier artists in the world (including Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and more), solidifying his position as the "King of Social Media."

Last month, BTS Jungkook surpassed 37 million followers on Instagram just four months after he launched his account. This makes him the second-most followed Korean male celebrity on the social media platform, following his bandmate V.
At the 2022 Grammy Awards held on April 4, Jungkook surprised the audience when he descended on a wire from the top of the stage during BTS's "Butter" performance.
Notably, the Grammys highlighted Jungkook's entry and performance in BTS's "Butter" in their "10 Must-See Moments From 2022 Grammys."

The Grammys wrote, "Descending to the stage like a stealth action hero here to save the day, BTS' Jungkook set the tone for a spy-themed evening highlight. From that angelic entry forward, BTS produced an entire list of memorable moments in a brief few minutes of performance."
Apart from his performance, BTS Jungkook's outfit at the 2022 Grammys was also recognized. He was included in the "Grammys 2022 Best-Dressed" list of Vogue Australia.
On April 28, Jungkook became a hot topic on Twitter when his Q&A session with the fans through his Instagram story was shared.
Most-Mentioned Artists on Social Media (April 2022): Jessi, LISA, More K-pop Idols Included
While BTS Jungkook is the No. 1 most-mentioned artist on social media last month, female K-pop idol Jessi ranked second.
To recall, Jessi made her solo comeback with a new single, titled "ZOOM," on April 13. "ZOOM" is a trap hip hop song that expresses how people nowadays live through moments that they can capture photographs of.
Jessi's "ZOOM" music video surpassed 10 million views on YouTube on April 22, and on the same day, the soloist reached 10 million followers on Instagram. After seven days, the MV ultimately hit 20 million views.
Jessi's "ZOOM" challenge is also gaining popularity on TikTok. Many popular celebrities including PSY, dancer Aiki, TXT and more have all taken part in the challenge.

Kim Taehyung, professionally known as V, placed fourth in the top 10 most-mentioned artists in April 2022. The "Dynamite" singer has been achieving several feats on Instagram following his appearance at the 2022 Grammys.
Not to mention, Taehyung garnered 500,000 Instagram followers after he went viral at this year's Grammys. He then became the fastest person in the world to reach 40 million Instagram followers, doing so in 135 days.
The other K-pop idols on the list are BLACKPINK Lisa (at No. 6) and BTS Jin (at No. 7).
Despite her having no music releases last month, Lisa managed to prove her popularity by ranking high on the list. One of her activities last month is modeling for CELINE's Spring Summer 2022 "Baie Des Anges" collection.
As for Jin, he became a hot topic on Twitter for his professional acting in the "COWAY" promotional video. He also earned the title of the first soloist to have top 2 songs ("Yours" and "Super Tuna") on the Billboard Hot Trending Songs Chart, which ranks songs based on the number of Twitter mentions.
