Following the hot debut lineup of girl groups including IVE, LE SSERAFIM, Kep1er, and NMIXX this year, the list of "4th generation boy groups" set to be launched in 2022 is also gaining massive attention from K-pop fans!
1. ABO
Set to debut in the second half of 2022, ABO (At the Beginning of Originality) will be launched by IST Entertainment, home to Apink, VICTON and THE BOYZ.
In particular, the final lineup which includes Junseok, Junmin, Hyunjun, Donghwa, Rakwon, Seunghwan and Yeonkyu was selected from the survival show, "The Origin – A, B or What?", building up a global fandom even before its debut.
2. NINE.i
First One Entertainment's first 10-member boy group, NINE.i, also made a bold debut in the music industry in March this year.
Although the group is still a rookie, NINE.i is attracting attention with its unique concept and worldview of the combination of "humanities, idols, and IT." It follows the story of "The Birth of a New Algorithm," first presented through its mini-album, "New World." What captured the interest of K-pop fans was also because of their i data number.
3. BLANK2Y
The nine-member boy group BLANK2Y, which will be introduced by Keystone Entertainment, also gained a lot of anticipation from music fans.
BLANK2Y (BLANK KEY) is a multinational boy group consisting of Korean, Japanese and Chinese members and is scheduled to debut in the music industry on May 24. Their mini-album, "K2Y I: Confidence [Thumbs Up]" will give a preview of their concept, "a key to open an empty space."
