Here's Why LE SSERAFIM Kim Chaewon Left Woollim Entertainment and Signed With Source Music
On May 9, Weverse Magazine released an article containing the interview they had with LE SSERAFIM's leader Kim Chaewon, along with her pictorial shots.
During the interview, the "FEARLESS" singer talked about her re-debut in another girl group, mentioning the reason why she left Woollim Entertainment and moved to Source Music (one of the subsidiary labels of HYBE).
She said, "I wrapped up my time with IZ*ONE last year but then I became worried and unsure of what I should do going forward. Two and a half years isn't very long to be in a group, after all."

LE SSERAFIM Kim Chaewon then revealed that she decided to leave Woollim Entertainment and joined Source Music because she wanted to be part of a group once more.
"I wanted to be in a group again because I still had a lot of dreams of things I wanted to achieve as part of a group," she explained. She added that she regretted all the things she never got a chance to showcase in the past.
She went on to say, "That's when Source Music told me they were making a new group and made me an offer, and the people at my previous label supported me and respected my decision, and that's how I ended up making a fresh start somewhere new."

LE SSERAFIM's leader also shared that even though she had to start all over again as a trainee, she doesn't regret anything.
Kim Chaewon told Weverse Magazine, "It's not easy changing companies, being a trainee again and having to start everything over from the beginning. But I thought I would have regretted it if I didn't do it."
She continued, "It's not every day that you have an opportunity to debut with a group again, and I wanted to challenge myself, rather than take the safe way and keep myself from the things I want to do. I decided to follow my heart in the end."
Kim Chaewon joined Woollim Entertainment in 2017 and trained for only 11 months before competing in Mnet's girl group survival show "Produce 48" in 2018. She returned to Woollim after IZ*ONE disbanded in April 2021 and assumed to have left the agency after five months.
