Despite not knowing each other personally, Ravi narrated how he immediately reached out to MAMAMOO Wheein following contract expiration with RBW.
On MBC's entertainment show "Radio Star," which aired on the afternoon of May 11, singers Rain and VIXX Ravi, dancer Lee Jung, and chef Jung Hoyoung appeared as a special feature of "Young Boss's True Color."
Ravi Shares How He Recruited MAMAMOO Wheein to His Agency THE L1VE
During the broadcast, VIXX Ravi, a third-gen idol who debuted in 2012 confessed that he actually personally contacted MAMAMOO Wheein to sign her on his agency.
As a background, Ravi is currently active as the CEO of his two agencies including GROOVL1N, a hip hop label and THE L1VE, an agency for promoting actors and idols including Ailee and MAMAMOO Wheein.
While on the topic of casting singers for his newly launched label, Ravi opened up that he immediately set a meeting with Wheein after he saw an article about her contract expiration with RBW, MAMAMOO's agency.

"We scout our artists directly. In the case of Wheein, we were originally strangers, but I contacted her after seeing the article."
In regards to why he think the "Water Color" singer will fit his company, Ravi briefly yet genuinely conveyed:
"I asked for a meeting because she (Wheein) is an artist that I've always liked, and she's really a great artist."
As the show went on, the young CEO narrated his awkward but memorable meeting with the female star.
Ravi recalled:
"Wheein is really shy. When we talked, she talked with her butt half off (the chair). I felt like she was getting ready to run away as soon as she could."
He then added:
"After talking for about an hour, (we) stood up to bid our goodbye because Wheein has other appointment."
At that time, Ravi expected negative results, but it turned out that he was wrong when the female idol revealed her side.
"I actually thought it wouldn't turned out to be a communication in favor of me. But then, she said that from 'Wheein's point of view' , I had very cold eyes (gaze) that's why she was very scared. But I keep saying warm words and continue to present her our vision."
Eventually, Ravi secured Wheein's "yes" to sign in his company on August 2021, and became the second artist under the label alongside Ailee.
MAMAMOO Wheein Describes Ravi as CEO After Transfer to THE L1VE
On the other hand, Wheein, who found her new nest in Ravi's label on August last year, describes what kind of CEO Ravi is contrary to their first meeting.
On an interview with Yoo Hee Yeol on February 2022, the two sat down together and revealed their thoughts about each other.
During that time, Wheein attested to the male idol's considerate and respectful personality.
"Ravi makes people around him feel comfortable. He also gave me that friend-like and familiar vibe, as if we have known each other for a long time."
As a CEO, Wheein also expressed that Ravi is the kind who pays attention down to the smallest details but not to the point that he's being stubborn. She revealed that their preferences and tastes shockingly match well and if they have different views, her CEO is willing to let go and give up.
