Who Is Former CLC Sorn and Why Did She Leave the Group?

Sorn is a Thai Singer currently based in South Korea. She managed to become a K-pop idol after winning first place in the first season of K-pop Star Hunt back in 2011. She particularly debuted as a member of CLC under CUBE back in March 2015. She was one of the lead vocalists in the band.

After six years of carrying out activities as a CLC member, Sorn debuted as a solo artist on March 23, 2021 with the English digital single "RUN." The female idol took part in the cover artwork and music video for the song.

In November of the same year, the female idol featured on Emily Mei's debut single "My Domain" together Amber Liu, a member of the famous K-pop girl group f(x). The song and its music video came out on the 9th.

On Nov. 16, CLC Sorn left the group and CUBE Entertainment. The agency explained that her decision to leave was made after a mutual discussion. However, they didn't specify the reason for her departure.

The "RUN" singer also released a personal statement, but she didn't mention the reason she wanted to take a new path. She is the second CLC member to leave the band and CUBE, following Elkie.

It has been six months since she parted ways with her team and label, so let's find out her current whereabouts.

Where Is Sorn Now? Current Status for Former CLC Member

At present, Sorn is a solo artist under Wild Entertainment Group. She joined the label on Dec. 3, 2021. She is assumed to be the only artist at the company.

This 2022, the former CLC member has released a few new songs. On Feb. 25, she dropped her second digital single titled "Sharp Objects," marking her first music release under Wild Entertainment. She referred to it as her "first-ever solo song."

"Sharp Objects" tells Sorn's passionate and unstoppable desire to take the music industry by storm.

On April 15, Sorn made her another solo comeback with her third digital single called "Scorpio." The song talks about her journey in the music industry and how she is struggling to search for herself as an artist and as a person.

In addition to releasing new songs, former CLC Sorn is also active in uploading videos to her personal YouTube channel. Her latest content to date is a cover of Sam Kim's "Love Me Like That."

The female soloist also regularly updates her other social media accounts, such as Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter.

During an exclusive interview with a news outlet, Sorn shared her hope to release her first solo mini-album by the end of the year. She also said that she wants to release as much music this year as possible.

The "Scorpio" singer continued that she wants to do a tour to travel and meet fans in whichever country they are. She then teased that her label's producers and team have been working hard to create the best music and concept to come up with a "full-package show" to present to the audience this year.
