Sometimes, it takes one hit song for an artist to be widely known in the music scene. Sadly, these K-pop artists are a different story after they failed to cement their name in the industry, and ended up being one-hit wonders.
Here Are 5 One-Hit Wonders We Wish Would Come Back:
1. The Ark - 'The Light'
Before they were even introduced as an official K-pop act, The Ark members were initially known for their incredible dance covers of BTS and EXO songs.
In 2015, the quintet finally debuted with their single album "Somebody 4 Life" and its title track "The Light."

The song became a hit in Korea and even in other Asian countries.
Despite the anticipation for their next comeback, the group unfortunately disbanded in the following year after Yujin's withdrawal.
2. Crayon Pop - 'Bar, Bar, Bar'
In 2012, Crayon Pop debuted, and although they didn't gain fame when they released their first album, the group's popularity suddenly rose after releasing "Bar, Bar, Bar" in 2013.
Aside from the catchy melody, Crayon Pop also drew massive interest for their unique choreography and outfit.
Due to their popularity, the viral track even climbed to No. 1 on Billboard's K-pop Hot 100 and led them to have a tour around the world and snagged the opportunity to perform with Lady Gaga.
Unfortunately, the group didn't make the same noise with their succeeding releases.
3. Kiss&Cry - 'Domino Game'
In 2014, Kiss&Cry established their status in the K-pop scene with their hit song "Domino Game." The quartet was particularly loved for their outstanding vocals and concept.
Just months after their debut, they kicked off with their second digital single, "Revenge." However, the support they received wasn't as huge as it was for their debut track.

In September of the same year, Haena left the group, leading to the group's unofficial disbandment.
4. HIGH4 - 'Not Spring, Love or Cherry Blossoms'
In 2014, HIGH4 debuted under N.A.P. Entertainment with the hit track "Not Spring, Love or Cherry Blossoms." The song garnered attention not only because of the members but also because of the featuring artist, IU, one of Korea's representative singers.
As soon as it was released, the song climbed to the top of various music charts, and as of May 2022, the MV surpassed 125 million views, proving its popularity.
Sadly, the group didn't maintain this popularity with their following releases until they parted ways in 2017.
5. Busker Busker - 'Cherry Blossom Ending'
Following participation in Mnet's "Superstar K," the trio indie band received attention from K-pop fans. Their initial releases gained decent success, but it was not until 2013 that they became widely known in the K-pop scene after the release of "Cherry Blossom Ending."
Despite their disbandment in the same year, this track remains iconic and is especially popular every spring.
