In particular, some of the supporters of the six-member group demand that HYBE/Source Music should concentrate on protecting the other five members, who are also affected by the issue.
Another fan conveyed:
"I was avoiding commenting because I was afraid it would adversely affect the other members, but now I've put up with it. I can't watch the ridicule and criticism pouring out to other members and other members' fans. We don't need members involved in any school violence in LE SSERAFIM."
As of May 20, the hashtag is still being used online, with people expressing their desire for Garam to depart from the group. Some international fans also joined the protest by adding the hashtag "#KimGaram_Out."
Victim A's Side Says School Violence Allegations Against Kim Garam Is 'True'
Before the protest, Victim A, who allegedly suffered school violence from Kim Garam and her friends, came out to release their side through a law firm called Daeryun and narrated:
"The victim (A) suffered school violence from Kim Garam and her friends around the end of April to early May 2018, and since then, A has been unable to endure group violence and transferred to another school one to two weeks after the incident."
Along with this, Victim A's side claimed that the legal document initially released by another internet user was also "true."
"After June 4, 2018, the School Violence Countermeasures Committee was held and Kim Garam, a student who committed school violence, received six hours of special education under Article 17 (1) 5 of the School Violence Prevention and Countermeasures Act.
In accordance with Paragraph 9 of the same article, the parents were given a disposition for 5 hours of completion of special education.
And A, a victim of school violence, received psychological counseling and advice in accordance with Article 16 (1) 1 of the same Act."
In response, HYBE/Source Music later on wrote:
"...The truth of this situation from 2018 is currently only being stated by one side, therefore as soon as we finish examining Daeryun’s claims, we will also announce our clearly organized position."
