ITZY Charyeong Prevents Celebrity Diseases Rumors
On May 24, ITZY member Chaeryeong held a solo live stream through Naver's V Live.
During the live stream, Chaeryeong was wearing sunglasses and chatting with fans. In the stream, Chaeryeong suddenly said, "I had Lasik surgery. When I went to the company wearing sunglasses, I noticed something. There were a lot of staff members at the company that day."
She then revealed that she was worried the in-house employees would assume that she had celebrity disease because she was wearing sunglasses indoors.

To prevent this, Chaeryeong would greet every staff she met that day. She would tell them, "Hello! I did LASIK surgery, so..." As she spoke to them, she would point to her sunglasses.
The ITZY member revealed she asked her manager to tell people she had Lasik surgery. She said, "I even told the manager in charge. I said, 'Manager, I am wearing sunglasses because I had Lasik surgery. Please spread it around.'"
Chaeryeong explained that because the company is huge and there are a lot of people, there are always staff members that she meets for the first time. Because of that, she tried not to be misunderstood by those who meet her for the first time.

Chaeryeong's story about preventing celebrity disease rumors circulate on the internet. People fawned over the adorable female idol and added that the sunglasses suited her well.
