BLACKPINK Rosé Reveals Her Biggest Struggle Every Day
As idols, they are expected to be able to do numerous things aside from singing and dancing. To give a good performance on stage, idols need to present a good amount of confidence and charisma to be able to capture the audience's attention.
One of the idols who exude confidence is BLACKPINK member Rosé, who knows how to use the stage and make it her own. However, despite the levels of confidence Rosé shows on camera, it seems that her being fully confident in herself is just a façade.
Recently, BLACKPINK hit a new milestone by gracing the cover of popular culture and music magazine Rolling Stone's June 2022 issue to become the third girl group in history to be featured on the magazine's cover, the first Asian girl group, and the first in over two decades.
Following BLACKPINK's pictorial, the members also sat down for an interview with the magazine. For Rosé, she talked about her life, her career, and her future while sporting her new short locks.
Like most idols, they have certain high standards when it comes to their performances, and Rolling Stone asked the BLACKPINK member if her constant desire to keep improving has ever been a burden for her.

To this, Rosé candidly admitted that it can be tough for her, and she even became jealous of those who are confident in their lives.
Rosé said, "Sometimes I look at somebody who's very confident, and I admire that. I wish I was that way too. I am very insecure about it, but only because I care about it so much."
Despite that, Rosé is continuously working on herself, and that her confidence is "Is something I'm working on every single day."
BLACKPINK Rosé Sees Being Insecure Isn't Negative Trait
While the lack of confidence and being insecure is seen as a negative trait to many, Rosé actually believes that isn't the case, and it's actually a key driver to make the best art.
"Insecurity isn't a negative thing - it's one of the most powerful drivers of good art. I think I am just vulnerable!" Rosé said.

Although she did feel her lack of confidence and insecurity was a burden to her in the past, it is what makes life more interesting.
"In the past, if I felt nervous, it'd burden me so much, because you just want to be relaxed, right? But to be nervous about something, to really care about something, is what makes life so interesting and fun," Rosé expresses.
On reaching success, Rosé says that success is about finding the right balance between being vulnerable and familiar, saying, "I think a good amount of feeling comfortable and a good amount of feeling vulnerable is always good. I also really enjoy that feeling of vulnerability and really wanting or craving something - I really enjoy that feeling. So I don't want to lose that, ever."
