On May 29, the U.S. magazine Rolling Stone unveiled the individual digital covers for its June 2022 issue, featuring BLACKPINK Jisoo.

Aside from her photos, the magazine also released a short interview with the singer-actress, which revealed Jisoo's thoughts on her reputation, mental health and upcoming solo album.

Regarding the artist's solo album in 2022, which was initially confirmed in January, Jisoo gives updates on her album's possible concept, saying:

"I am not sure how much I want to go solo yet."

Jisoo particularly expressed she still has conflicting questions about the music genre she wants to pursue, the music she can do and the music she listens to.

But she hinted at the concept she likes and said:

"I love different bands and rock music."

She went on by addressing her fans that she also wants to consider the genre the fans wants to hear from her, saying:

"I am (still) not sure what will happen with my solo plans this year."

BLACKPINK member Jisoo became the first Asian actress to be on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine, a popular American magazine.

Born in 1995, Jisoo, who turned 27, debuted as a member of BLACKPINK in 2016, and took her first step as an actress through the drama "Snowdrop."

Considering her popularity as an idol and actress, the "BOOMBAYAH" singer confessed that one of the difficulties of becoming a famous pop star is the point where people began to recognize her anywhere so she has to mind her every step.

Jisoo also noted that it is sometimes difficult to talk about stress and mental health struggles in public because there are so many eyes that are following her.

Despite this, she expressed her thanks to fans, particularly to BLINKs (BLACKPINK fandom).

"I like to talk to fans. I am honest with them just like how am I to friends."

Despite having people around her, the female star opened up that she also struggled on her own, but cited music as something that keeps her going.

As the interview went on, Jisoo revealed what music means to her and how it helped her when she's having a hard time. She added that music became meaningful when she released their finally release their own songs.

In regards to what she wants to attain as a musician, Jisoo further stated:

"How can I be a better influence on someone else’s life through music? [...]I hope our music can have the same effect on many others."
