Most Viewed K-Pop Music Videos May 2022: PSY, LE SSERAFIM, More!

On June 1 KST, K-Pop Radar's monthly charts for the most viewed K-Pop music videos on Youtube have been updated to reflect the data that was garnered for the month of May. From PSY's "That That" to LE SSERAFIM's "FEARLESS," these K-Pop music videos garnered the most views on Youtube in May 2022!

PSY's 'That That' is the Most Viewed K-Pop Music Video in May 2022

Taking the top spot to become the most viewed K-Pop music video for the month of May is none other than "Gangnam Style" hitmaker, PSY, with his latest release "That That" featuring BTS' rapper, Suga!

According to K-Pop Radar, "That That," which was released back on April 29, had garnered a total of 161,778,818 views on its music video on Youtube for the month of May alone.

"That That" is the lead single for PSY's eighth studio album "PSY 9th," which is his first album release and comeback in five years, following his seventh studio album "4x2=8" released in May 2017.

"That That" features Suga, who took part in producing the song, along with PSY and El Capitxn. In fact, Suga was the one who approached PSY to produce a song for him.

Initially, Suga was only meant to produce "That That," but he became more involved with the song, with the BTS member eventually recording a rap verse and appearing in the music video as well.

Following the release of the song, "That That" had garnered more than 30 million views in the first 24 hours of its release. After a week, "That That" had accumulated more than 100 million views on Youtube.

It also went on to chart on Gaon's Digital Chart and Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart at No. 1. "That That" also landed at No. 5 on Billboard's Global 200, No. 32 on Oricon's Combined Singles chart, No. 49 on ARIA in Australia, No. 61 on the Official Singles Chart in the United Kingdom, and at No. 80 on Billboard's Hot 100.

LE SSERAFIM's 'FEARLESS' is the Second Most Viewed K-Pop Music Video in May 2022

Following behind "That That" to become the second most viewed K-Pop music video for the month of April is HYBE and Source Music's rookie girl group, LE SSERAFIM, and their debut song "FEARLESS."

"FEARLESS," which was released back on May 2, had garnered a total of 70,589,705 views on Youtube in May.

"FEARLESS" is the title track for the group's debut mini album of the same name, and is described to be a funk and alternative pop song, with its lyrics conveying the message of "moving forward without being shaken up by the past."

It was written and produced by American singer and "TOMBOY" hitmaker Destiny Rogers, along with "Hitman" Bang (Bang Si Hyuk), Supreme Boi, Megatone, Score, Jaro, Blvsh, Josefin Glenmark, Oneye, Kyler Niko, Nikolay Mohr, Pau, and Emmy Kasai.

Following the song's release, "FEARLESS" peaked at No. 12 on Billboard's World Digital Song Sales chart, at No. 13 on Oricon's Combined Singles chart, at No. 18 on Gaon's Digital Chart, and No. 69 on Billboard's Global 200.

It also entered the Billboard charts in several countries, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Vietnam.
