On April 19, a post was made on an online community alleging that Yook Sungjae is dating a non-celebrity (hereafter called as "A"). The post pointed out that the BTOB member and "A" are using the same phone case and that Yook's voice can be heard in a video showing a golf course that "A" had uploaded to her Instagram account.
In addition to that, fans who did some sleuthing claimed that "A" is an acquaintance of BTOB Peniel and that she follows the latter's private Instagram account. Because of this, fans speculated that Peniel was the one who introduced Yook Sungjae and "A" to each other. Furthermore, some fans found out that "A" is a popular TikTok influencer with a sexy image.

After her dating rumor with Yook Sungjae emerged, the non-celebrity woman set all of her social media accounts to private.
On April 20, BTOB's management agency, CUBE Entertainment, officially responded to Yook Sungjae's dating rumor. The label stated that the rumor is not true and that the two are simply acquaintances playing golf together.
The agency also mentioned the fact that "A" made her SNS accounts private. They explained that she decided to set them to private because she was receiving many messages asking about the truth regarding the rumor.
Who Is the Influencer Rumored to be Dating Yook Sungjae?
The TikTok influencer alleged to be dating Yook Sungjae goes by the name Young Eun on Instagram (@0_silve_). Her Instagram account has more than 21,000 followers, while her TikTok account has over 60,000 (unsearchable). She has been going viral for her beauty and body promotion, as her visuals and slender figure are the same as an idol.

Apart from her looks, there has been much attention given to her lifestyle as well. She often uploads pictures of her playing golf with her friends and staying at luxurious hotels, leading netizens to presume that she comes from a wealthy family.
To date, her social media accounts are set to public again, probably because the rumor had died down after CUBE Entertainment's official statement.
