On June 2, a comeback showcase was held at Yes24 Live Hall in Gwangjin-gu, Seoul to commemorate the release of Jo Yuri's first mini-album "Op.22 Y-Waltz: in Major," hosted by comedian Kim Jimin.

This is her first comeback in about eight months after her solo debut. This is also her first mini-album since she parted ways with IZ*ONE, a group formed through Mnet's "Produce 48." She was active with the team, from 2019 to 2021, before its official disbandment in April last year.

During the talk, Yuri revealed her unwavering friendship with her IZ*ONE co-members despite going their separate ways.

Jo Yuri told her fans:

"Even after some time, we still communicate and support each other. Some members also have overlapped comeback activities. I was thankful that the members contacted me first and said they were looking forward to it."

The "Express Moon" singer also vowed to WIZ*ONEs (IZ*ONE fans) that they can anticipate seeing a mini-reunion with some members, adding:

"When we met on a music show, we talked about taking pictures (together) and doing various things. I think there will be a lot of messages (from the members) when the album is released today."

With IZ*ONE, Yuri worked together with 11 members. When asked what she felt after going solo, the singer shared:

"Since I'm doing solo activities, not a group, the waiting room is desolate and the house is quiet. However, I will never feel lonely because not only the members but also many fans cheered for me."

Meanwhile, the new album contains a total of five songs: the title song "Love Shhh!," "Round and Around," "Rolla Skates," "This Time" and "Opening."

In regards to the album, she said:

"My age and most important keyword, '22', has a lot of meaning. I tried to capture different charms from track to track, but the title song is cheerful and lively. Please look forward to my self-composed song, "Opening."

"Love Shhh!" is an energetic uptempo genre pop dance song that captures the star's powerful vocals and a cheerful mood suitable for the summer season.

Yuri hinted at the main point of the lead track, saying:

"I focused on powerful dance and wit. I think it would be better to pay more attention to the lyrics that have a paradoxical meaning for wit than ever before."

In October 2021, Jo Yuri debuted as a solo singer through her single, "GLASSY." When asked what is her ultimate goal through her future solo activities, the female idol emphasized creating her genre.

"I want to become an artist that I can recognize myself. Also, I want to earn the modifier, 'All-Rounder' that is perfect in all aspects."

Before the showcase concluded, Jo Yuri showed off her confidence and claimed:

"My charm is my voice that can pull off all genres. I think my strength is that I can sing many songs well without getting into the genre."

On the other hand, Jo Yuri's first mini-album "Op. 22 Y-Waltz: In Major," has been released on various music sites at 6 p.m. KST on June 2.
