First-Generation K-pop Idol-CEO Allegedly Assaulted a Former Trainee at His Agency
On June 6, an online user claiming to be a former idol trainee made a post on a private online community to share the assault he experienced when he was training under a company, where a first-generation K-pop idol is the CEO.
The author began the post by saying, "I am a former idol trainee, and six years have passed but just thinking about that day makes me tear up. I was a trainee at an entertainment company where 'A,' who was a first-generation idol group member, is the CEO."

The former trainee said that the group where the CEO belongs is one of the most popular acts in South Korea before and even today. The CEO himself is enjoying tremendous popularity at present.
He continued, "On Feb. 18, 2016, Mr. B invited the producer and Mr. A of the company together to a room, and Mr. B talked about the direction of music of the label and the popular music in the 70s and 90s."
He further said that Mr. A and B instructed the producer, "You have to do this kind of song to become famous" and "Make a song like this and sing it like this."
However, the producer disagreed and said that that kind of music is a little old and that he wants to make music that the public, especially young girls these days, will like.

"At this, the CEO asked me, 'Do you think the same way' and 'Is this song not good?'" he went on to say. "I said that it's hard to follow because I've never heard of music like that, and that it's a little old, so I don't know if people will like it."
In response to his answer, the first-generation K-pop idol allegedly cursed at the former idol trainee, using expressions like "Hey, you b**ch," and slapped his right cheek four times, and his left cheek twice. It was then followed by two hits at the back of his head after the CEO forcibly removed the trainee's hat.
The author further revealed, "It happened so quickly, I was shocked and embarrassed, so I wasn't able to say anything. The producer, who was looking at me, hurriedly took me outside. It has been six years, but it's still a very vivid memory. I was so sad and angry, but I was also afraid."
First-Gen K-pop Idol-CEO Allegedly Didn't Apologize to the Former Trainee
After meeting with Mr. B, the post author said that the first-generation K-pop idol-CEO called him to his office, and so he thought he would apologize for hitting him. Unfortunately, the CEO continued to criticize the trainee and told him he was responsible for causing the incident that occurred.
The former trainee then revealed that because of his fear of the K-pop idol, he terminated their contract and decided to begin his mandatory military service.
"For the past six years, I was tormented by the memories of that day, but I was afraid of the CEO, so I couldn't do anything," he added.
