Upcoming Girl Group Gets Compared to SM Entertainment Artists - Here Are the Reasons
More K-pop groups are set to debut this 2022, and one of them is the girl group Girl's World, whose official launch was supposed to be on May 23 but was delayed to the 20th of this month. One day prior to their debut, they will hold a showcase to greet their fans.
Since late April, the group's agency Liz Entertainment has been introducing the members on social media one after another. Three members have been revealed to date. It is said that there will be four members, though the poster for their showcase shows five girls.

While the full lineup is yet to be unveiled, some members have already caught people's attention because of their stage names. The reason is that the names of Kyrin and Windy reminded netizens of SM Entertainment artists.
On an online community, a post consisting of the photos of the two said Girl's World members was posted. The author pointed out that Kyrin appears to be a combination of the names Karina (of aespa) and Irene (of Red Velvet), while Windy seems to be derived from the names Winter (of aespa) and Wendy (of Red Velvet).

Under the post, others expressed their opinions, with some saying that the upcoming girl group's name "Girl's World" reminds them of Girls' Generation. People also took note of the marketing technique of Girls' World's agency, stating that if they intentionally referenced SM Entertainment artists, then their strategy is successful as the girls are garnering attention.

"I guess they're going as far as this to promote them. Everyone, give them some attention"
"Their marketing strategy is so interesting"
"Girl's World lolllll. They're blatantly copying SM"
"This is completely noise marketing"
"They appear to have gotten the timing for this noise marketing wrong. They are probably going to get buried by SM artists' comebacks"
"They said the two of them are twins, but they don't really look alike"

Girl's World Windy
Windy's real name is Park Jinju. She is said to be the leader and main vocalist of the group. She is twins with Kyrin-both were born on Feb. 23, 2000. She previously appeared on "Same Bed, Different Dreams'' alongside Kyrin back in 2016, as well as on "Miss Trot."
Moreover, Windy's favorite solo artist is Girls' Generation Taeyeon.
Girl's World Kyrin
Kyrin's birth name is Park Geumju. She is also a model and actress. She is a former trainee at GG Agency, along with Windy, for more or less one year. Her role model is Girls' Generation.

Girl's World A-ra
Not much information is known about A-ra yet, apart from her role model being ICU's Naye and Chaei. She is said to be the mood maker and rapper of the group.
Girl's World Hari
Details about Hari is also unknown. But it is said that she is Japanese and the maknae of the group, as well as the main dancer.
