First-Generation Idol-CEO Accused of Assault Meets up With Former Trainee to Apologize

On June 10, several media outlets reported that the netizen, who previously claimed to be a former idol trainee at a company where the first-generation idol is the CEO, made a new post to share that they received an apology from the K-pop star.

In their initial post, the netizen said that they experienced physical assault from the CEO, and that their fear of him led them to terminate their contract and went on to enlist in the military.

In their new post, the netizen wrote, "'A' reached out to me on June 8 and I agreed to meet up with him. The incident happened such a long time ago, and because of that, there were numerous misunderstandings that developed through time."

They continued, "We took time to share the feelings we had kept deep in our hearts, and had a sincere talk about what happened in the past. In some ways, I was also to blame for the incident, and I broadened the content when I described the events back then. We were able to recall those days face to face while exchanging apologies. We then parted with civil feelings."

Toward the end of their statement, the former trainee apologized for causing disruption with their accusations. They added, "After a heartfelt talk where many misunderstandings were clarified, my ill feelings toward 'A' have disappeared, and I've come to realize that 'A' was not the bad person I misunderstood him for, but a warm-hearted person."

The netizen ended their post by stating, "This will be the last time I will talk about this incident, and once again, I apologize for causing concerns."

A few days before the first-generation idol-CEO met up with the first accuser and apologized to them, more netizens claiming to be former trainees at his company stepped forward to accuse him of assault as well. They claimed, "That looks like the agency that I used to be part of, I also was assaulted and verbally abused," and "That time was the worst memory that I don't even want to think of anymore, I know how difficult it is, I really hope that you can get over your trauma."

To date, the identity of the first-generation idol-CEO remains unknown. But some fans say it could be H.O.T. Jang Woohyuk of Shinhwa Andy. What do you think?

Following the numerous claims of assault against the first-generation idol-CEO, an alleged former staff member also took to an online community to expose his poor behavior. After what they experienced, she had decided to leave the agency and entertainment industry altogether.

In her lengthy post, the staff member said that she used to be a fan of the K-pop idol and that's why she applied for his company, despite hearing rumors about him being ill-mannered. She added that she learned there were no managers at the label and so the CEO demanded that she should get a management license. After doing so, she became his road manager, who had to accompany him in all of his schedules.

The staff member went on to say that she had to work all day outdoors even during the summer season, but the CEO didn't provide any meals or even water. She added that the K-pop idol would often speak rudely and did not care for the trainees at his company. She further said that the CEO would blame the staff members for his mistakes and would make the employees apologize to the clients.

The netizen further said that the first-generation idol was able to save money because he didn't pay the producers and songwriters.

Along with her post, the former staff member included photos of herself when she was still an employee at his agency and the plane ticket at that time the CEO asked her to pick him up on her day off.
