SEVENTEEN's 'Face the Sun' Attains Group's First-Ever Top 10 on Billboard 200
On June 12 local time, it was officially announced that SEVENTEEN's "Face the Sun" debuted inside the top 10 of Billboard 200, a weekly ranking of the most popular albums in the United States.
In particular, "Face the Sun" debuted at No. 7 with 44,000 equivalent album units sold. This figure comprises 42,000 traditional album sales, 2,000 stream equivalent album (SEA) units - which equals to 2.71 million on-demand official streams of the album's songs.
This marks SEVENTEEN's first-ever top 10 on Billboard 200 and their highest position on the chart. It is also their third entry on the tally overall, after their 2021 mini-albums "Your Choice" and "Attacca," which peaked at No. 15 and 13, respectively.

In addition to that, SEVENTEEN is now the eighth K-pop boy group to ever enter the top 10 on Billboard 200, following BTS, SuperM, MONSTA X, NCT 127, NCT, TXT, and Stray Kids- as well as the 10th K-pop artist overall to achieve the feat (when BLACKPINK and TWICE is included).
As Billboard is yet to release the rankings of its other charts for this week, it remains to be seen whether SEVENTEEN's "Face the Sun" will enter more album charts and reach new heights for the group.

SEVENTEEN's 'Face the Sun' Enters Oricon Chart + Group Scores New Peak on Spotify Monthly Listeners
In other news, SEVENTEEN's "Face the Sun" is also performing well in Japan. It debuted at No. 1 on Oricon's daily album chart (for June 10) after selling 297,031 copies in the country- almost thrice as much as the first-day sales of "Attacca" on Oricon (104,667 copies). With this, the studio album has now broken the group's first-day sales record on Oricon.
What's more impressive is that "Face the Sun" ultimately surpassed SEVENTEEN's highest first-week sales record on Oricon. Their previous personal best is 247,278 copies sold by their 2020 mini-album "24H." This naturally means that "Face the Sun" has become the group's fastest album to sell 200,000 copies.
