Uee Diet and Workout Routine: How Did the Ex-After School Member Shed Weight?

Kim Yujin, better known by her stage name Uee, gained popularity after making her debut as a member of second generation girl group After School in April 2009. After promoting with the group until May 2017, Uee continued her career in acting.

Like most idols within the industry, Uee also underwent weight loss to achieve the figure she has now for her past and present promotions. With that, how did the former After School member shed her off her weight? Here's what we know about Uee's diet and workout routine!

Uee Workout Routine

When Uee first made her debut, she became popular for her "honey thighs," which refers the thicker-than-average but healthy-looking thighs among girl group members, which was also received positively well by the general public.

However, through the years, Uee became a constant hot topic for her extreme weight loss transformation since her After School days. In fact, she had such an extreme transformation, which persisted until recently, that many fans have expressed their worries over Uee's constant dieting.

Nevertheless, the idol-turned-actress still had one of the most successful weight losses, and currently weighs around 48kg to 52kg, while standing at 173cm (5'8") tall.

When it comes to her workout routine, Uee had already been physically active before her debut. As a teen, Uee was a swimmer and had even participated in national sport festivals.

As an idol and actress, Uee always made sure to squeeze in a workout despite her busy schedule. When she was in After School, one of her main forms of workout was dancing, which was something she did for several hours each day.

But now, she turns to riding her indoor bicycle at home when her work finishes late.

She also goes to the gym from time to time when she has the chance. At the gym, Uee likes to do pilates, which is a full body workout that helps build her flexibility, posture, and make her body line more beautiful. She usually does pilates for at least an hour.

Aside from pilates, Uee also does strength training by using the weight machines at gyms to help tone her body even more, targeting her back, shoulders, arms, legs, and more.

Uee also makes sure to live an active lifestyle, which includes her participating in recreational activities, such as playing golf!

As for Uee's diet plan, she is not a picky eater, but does enjoy eating spicy food and sweating it out.

Although Uee has become more lenient when it comes to her diet, she revealed that she used to eat one meal per day for eight years straight due to the criticism she received with her weight as an idol.

However, that diet is not recommended, as Uee even said it caused her a lot of pain and made her "cry a lot."

Uee also tried the "1000 calories a day" diet, in which her type of food is more flexible as long as she doesn't exceed 1000 calories per day.

For this, some of her diet staples include chicken breast, whole grains, vegetables, soy milk, tofu, and black beans. As much as possible, she stays away from junk food.
