Before Taeyeon released her title track "INVU," SM Entertainment was actually against it.
Keep on reading to know how she convinced them.
Taeyeon Had to Convince SM Entertainment to Release 'INVU'
Back in February of this year, Girls' Generation member Taeyeon dropped her third studio album, "INVU," which features a total of 13 tracks, including a lead single of the same name.
Although "INVU" is the title track of her album, Taeyeon revealed that her label SM Entertainment was once against releasing the song as part of her studio album.
In fact, when they were deciding which songs to include in the album, all of the staff members voted against "INVU," with Taeyeon being the only one wanting to release the song.
As this was the case, the Girls' Generation leader had to find a way to convince the staff members to allow her to release the song and even revealed what she did to do so.
"I was confident [in the song] and felt like I had to convince and persuade the staff members. So I sang the song while acting to express the song a bit better," Taeyeon shared.
After that, Taeyeon easily convinced the staff members to allow her to release the song. And from then on, Taeyeon shared that it was easy to work on the album. However, the staff members did continue to express their worry about the song and told Taeyeon that all she was left to do was convince the public with "INVU."
