G-Dragon's Instagram update caused a stir among fans as he seems to be hinting at his solo comeback, which YG Entertainment confirmed back in November 2020 when a Korean media outlet reported that BIGBANG G-Dragon is working on a new solo album.

One fan shared the images in an online community and said, "I think he's working on releasing it in the latter half of the year... It's been a while since he uploaded a spoiler like this in the open. I waited for GD for so long, and finally, G-Dragon's solo comeback."

Others also expressed their excitement about his potential comeback, saying:

"He's really going to keep his promise to his fans that he will come back."

"All of GD's songs are legendary hits."

"I wonder what song he's going to release this time."

"Please make a comeback in August and do a tour."

"It's finally time! All of his songs were awesome, every single one that has been released."

"Finally! I am so ready for his comeback."

If G-Dragon's comeback takes place this year, it will mark his first solo music release in five years since he dropped his second extended play titled "Kwon Ji Yong" back in June 2017.

On April 12, seven days after BIGBANG's comeback with their new song "Still Life," G-Dragon and Taeyang were both seen entering YG Entertainment, making fans speculate that any of the two are working on something. G-Dragon was again seen at the company on April 15 and 19.
