Where is GOT7 Now? Latest Activities of Former JYP Artists

Back in January 2021, GOT7's exclusive contract with JYP Entertainment expired. The members decided not to renew their contracts with the company and left to sign on with other companies and focus on solo activities. Despite no longer being under the same label, GOT7 agreed to continue promoting as a group on top of their individual careers.

In fact, GOT7 recently their mini album "GOT7" on May 23, 2022. Before that, they also held their offline and online "GOT7 Homecoming 2022 Fancon" from May 21 to May 22. But excluding their group activities, what have the members been up to since leaving JYP Entertainment?

Keep on reading to know the GOT7 members' latest activities.

1. Mark

GOT7 Mark

After leaving JYP Entertainment, Mark launched his own Youtube channel where you can find his music releases and vlogs. He also launched his own company Mark Tuan Studio in Beijing, which handles all his activities and promotions in China. For his activities and promotions in the United States, Mark signed with Creative Artists Agency.

He released the single "One in a Million" in February 2021. In the same year, he collaborated with BIBI for his first ever OST, "Never Gonna Come Down," for the film "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings."

Since then, Mark has released several singles of his own, such as "Last Breath," "My Life," "Lonely," and "Save Me." He recently held his solo fan meeting "Pull Up" in Thailand from May 27 to May 29 this year.

2. Jay B

GOT7 Jay B

GOT7's leader Jay B signed with H1GHR Music and soon debuted as a solo artist with the single "Switch It Up" in May 2021. With his debut, Jay B became the first Korean soloist to debut on Billboard's R&B Digital Song Sales chart and the third on the R&B/Hip-Hop Digital Song Sales chart.

He has since made several music releases, such as the albums "SOMO:Fume," "Love," and singles "Is It A Dream?" and "Hello 2.0 (Legends Only)." In addition, he has released music and collaborated with other artists as a member of Offshore under the name Def.

Aside from music, Jay B launched his second clothing line with Represent, Def. Collection. He also held his own solo fan meeting, with his most recent being the "Nostalgic" fancon event in June 2022.

3. Jackson

After leaving JYP Entertainment, Jackson's activities are now managed by Team Wang and Sublime Artist Agency. Aside from managing his own team, Jackson has released several solo songs. Some notable release include the English singles "LMLY," "Drive You Home," "100 Ways," "Alone," "Jackson Wang," and "Blow." He also became part of Team Wang's hip-hop group Panthepack.

Jackson made his U.S. late-night television debut, performing "LMLY" on "The Late Late Show With James Corden" back in April 2021.

In 2021, Jackson ranked in the Top 10 of Forbes China's Celebrity 100 list and was named as one of Asia's most influential individuals in the culture field by Tatler Hong Kong.

More recently, Jackson performed at this year's Coachella festival. On July 12, Jackson is set to perform a one-hour long show at the Rajamangala Stadium to open for the football match between Liverpool and Manchester United.

4. Jinyoung

GOT7 Jinyoung

Unlike the rest of his members, Jinyoung started focusing on his acting career and signed with BH Entertainment after leaving JYP Entertainment. He starred in a minor role for the tvN drama "Yumi's Cells" for the first season alongside Kim Go Eun. For the second season of "Yumi's Cells" in 2022, Jinyoung became the main lead.

Aside from dramas, Jinyoung also starred on the big screen, such as in the Netflix original film "Yaksha: Ruthless Operations." He is set to star in the upcoming films "Hi.5" and "A Christmas Carol."

As a singer, Jinyoung released his self-composed and self-written single "Dive" as a gift for fans in July 2021. The song's Japanese version was released in September 2021.

5. Youngjae

GOT7 Youngjae

Youngjae signed with Sublime Artist Agency in January 2021. After, joined the cast of the musical "Midnight Sun" as the lead role and starred in 22 out of the 95 shows. Aside from musicals, Youngjae also acted in the dramas "So Not Worth It" and "Love & Wish."

In October 2021, Youngjae made his solo debut with the mini album "Colors From Ars." In the same month, he collaborated with fashion brand Plac to release a fall-winter collection. Then, in December, he released his digital single "Walk With Me."

Youngjae hosted the Youtube series "Coco is Genius" and "Idol Live Agent" back in 2021. Additionally, from January to February 2022, Youngjae was the special radio host for "Dream Radio." Currently, he's been the host of "GOT7 Youngjae's Best Friend" since March.

In June 2022, Youngjae released his second mini album "Sugar."

6. Bambam

GOT7 Bambam

Bambam joined Abyss Company in March 2021. The same month, he was awarded the Inspirational Role Model for Youth Award at the Thailand Master Youth 2020-2021 Awards. In May, he served as the MC for the Thai version of Simply K-Pop Con-Tour.

Bambam officially made his solo debut with the mini album "riBBon" in June 2021. In December, he returned with the pre-release single "Who Are You," featuring Red Velvet's Seulgi. In January 2022, he dropped the mini album "B." Before the release of "B," Bambam held a fan meeting in Bangkok from January 1 to January 2.

More recently, Bambam released the digital single "Wheels Up" on April 22. The song was released under the newly-launched music company Golden State Entertainment. From May 27 to May 29, Bambam served as the MC for Mark's solo fan meeting in Thailand.

7. Yugyeom

As for Yugyeom, he signed an exclusive contract with AOMG in February 2021. In June, he dropped his mini album,"Point of View: U." The album featured collaborations with AOMG artists Jay Park, Gray, and Punchnello.

In August, Yugyeom performed at the cheering concert for the Tokyo Olympics, "We All Are One." He also performed at AOMG's first-ever online concert, "Above Ordinary 2021."

More recently, Yugyeom dropped his digital single "Take You Down" in March this year. He also went on a solo tour through Europe from May 5 to May 13.
