Following SEVENTEEN's two-day concert in Seoul, people expressed curiosity about member Wonwoo's feelings after seeing their senior, Girls' Generation Taeyeon. This is not because he's a huge fan of the idol, but because he was allegedly an anti-SNSD prior to his debut. Keep on reading for all the details.
Did Wonwoo Feel Awkward After Seeing Taeyeon? People Talk About Idol Following Concert
On June 25 to 26, SEVENTEEN opened their world tour, "Be the Sun," having Seoul as their first stop. During the concert, the Gocheok Sky Dome was filled not only by CARATs (SEVENTEEN fandom) but also various K-pop idols who showed up to support the group.
Senior idols Girls' Generation (SNSD) Taeyeon and SHINee Key found time to show up at the concert to cheer for the "HOT" singers despite their busy schedules. They were also mentioned especially by the members during the ment and teased them for allegedly not joining the group's cheer.

It was supposed to be an pleasant interaction between the stars, but it was also the exact moment that stirred discussions among Koreans.
In an online community, some talked about the male star and conveyed their curiosity about whether he felt awkward seeing the senior female idol.
Web users particularly brought up Wonwoo's "anti-SNSD" controversy in the past, where the male star immaturely criticized the legendary girl group.
"A celebrity who met a malicious commenter."
"I feel like Wonwoo wanted to run away after Taeyeon attended (the concert). How would he face her after that? It's too embarrassing to even think about it."
"He has nothing to say even if he was criticized forever."
At the same time, fans defended Wonwoo and explained:
"He was just 10 or 11 years old then."
"Wonwoo already apologized. Can't you move on?"
"If SNSD doesn't mind it, why are you all bringing it up?"
SEVENTEEN Wonwoo's 'Anti-SNSD' Issue: What Is It About, Idol's Apology
For those unaware of the issue, SEVENTEEN Wonwoo was accused of being an "anti-SNSD" in 2016.
This is after fans and internet users found out Wonwoo's past posts on SNS under the username "namdoll."
Under that username, the male idol allegedly made blatant comments about SNSD, calling them "trash," accusing them of getting plastic surgeries, posting SNSD's unappealing photos, etc.
As more fans, particularly SONEs (fandom of SNSD) expressed their anger, Pledis Entertainment at that time released Wonwoo's apology where he said:
"Hello, this is Wonwoo.
First of all, I want to express my apology to everyone who was hurt by this situation. Instead of coming up with excuses such as saying they were foolish mistakes I made when I was young or saying that I don't remember what I did, I believed that admitting my faults and apologizing was the right choice, which is why I'm writing this.
Even though I was still young when I wrote those comments, it is definitely something I wrote. That's why I am sorry to the Girls' Generation sunbaenims, their fans, and Carats, who were hurt by this.
I am also sorry to the members, who worked hard together to become SEVENTEEN together."
