On July 4, the Korean media outlet Seoul Economy featured Lapillus' interview with the YouTube channel ZIPPING.
There, viewers met the group's Argentinian-Filipina member Chanty, along with Shana, a former participant of Mnet's "Girls Planet 999," and 13-year-old Haeun, the current youngest K-pop idol.

During the show, Chanty was introduced as a famous high-teen star in the Philippines. It was also mentioned how she worked as an actress and model prior to her debut back then.
In response, Chanty showed her humble personality and clarified:
"I was more like a rookie rather than a big star. I started acting training when I was 13, and I started acting when I was 15. I was active in the Philippines until I was 17."
Just then the interviewer stated that Chanty is not the first Filipino star among K-pop idols. In fact, Lapillus' role model 2NE1, particularly its member Sandara Park, is an influential figure in the foreign country.

This made Chanty and Dara both K-pop idols tremendously loved in the Philippines. However, Chanty surprised her co-members and viewers when she revealed her special relationship with the "FIRE" singer.
"Sandara is really famous in the Philippines. Even now, when Sandara sunbaenim comes to the Philippines, everyone likes it. They were like, 'Wow! Sandara!,' there are reactions like that.
Actually, sunbaenim also worked as an actress in the Philippines and (coincidentally) she was in the same company as me. It was really cool."
When asked if she met Sandara Park in person, the "HIT YA!" singer initially said "never" but she corrected herself and added:
"I met her at a Korean shop and I was so embarrassed that I just said 'hello.' I was a trainee at the time, so I wondered if I could introduce myself. Sandara Park, I love you."

Lapillus Chanty Shares Why She Decided to Debut as K-pop Idol
As the interview went on, ZIPPING asked the young idol her reason for coming to Korea to become an idol despite her career in the Philippines.
Chanty honestly answered:
"K-pop and K-drama are really popular in the Philippines. I like 'Goblin' and IU's "Moon Lovers" too. I know 'Descendants of the Sun.' I used to watch K-drama or listen to K-pop everyday in the Philippines. So I naturally thought, 'I want to do something like this.'
But it came like this right now. If I have a good opportunity (to appear in a Korean drama), I will be surprised that Chanty is in a K-drama in the Philippines."
Lastly, other than her skills and career, Chanty is also known for her stunning visuals. In fact, she was previously nominated for "The Most Beautiful Face in the World" in 2022. The interviewer asked:
"Did you know about this?"
She responded:
"My family told me. I was suddenly nominated. I [was] still a trainee, but I was really surprised because all the candidates were celebrities."
