TWICE Nayeon Makes History on Artist 100 Following Billboard 200 Milestone

TWICE Nayeon Makes Historic Debut on Artist 100, Tops 3 Billboard Charts This Week

On July 2, Hits Daily Double revealed the final list of the top 50 most popular albums in the United States in the week ending on June 30. TWICE Nayeon's "IM NAYEON" ranked seventh with over 55,000 units.

As expected, "IM NAYEON" debuted at No. 7 on this week's Billboard 200, making Nayeon the first K-pop soloist (of any gender) to enter the top 10 of the said U.S. album chart in history.

On July 6, Billboard updated its official website to unveil the latest chart rankings of songs and albums for the week ending on July 9. The "POP!" singer's more impressive achievements were also revealed at the same time.

One of those is her historic milestone on Artist 100. In particular, TWICE Nayeon entered at No. 5 on Billboard's Artist 100, earning her the title of the first female K-pop soloist to ever debut inside the top 50 of the chart.

The female idol is also now the only second K-pop solo artist overall to make it to the top 5 following BTS Suga (Agust D), who secured No. 4 on the tally back in 2020.

Additionally, "IM NAYEON" made TWICE Nayeon the first K-pop soloist of any gender in history to reach No. 1 on Billboard's Top Album Sales chart after selling 52,000 albums in the United States during the week ending on June 30.

Furthermore, Nayeon became the first female artist to land atop Billboard's World Albums chart this year. "IM NAYEON" also debuted at No. 1 on the Top Current Album Sales chart this week and entered at No. 7 on the Tastemaker Albums chart.

Meanwhile, the TWICE member landed two entries on this week's World Digital Song Sales chart: her title song "POP!" hit No. 7, while her B-side song "No Problem" featuring Stray Kids Felix took No. 10.

Lastly, "POP!" hit No. 15 on Billboard's Global Excl. U.S. chart and No. 30 on the Global 200.

"IM NAYEON" Records 4th Highest First-Week Sales of Any Female Soloist in Hanteo History

In other news, TWICE Nayeon also made history on the Hanteo Chart in terms of first-week sales.

According to Hanteo Chart, "IM NAYEON" sold 252,903 copies within the first week of release (June 24 to 30), making Nayeon the first female soloist this 2022 and only the fourth female solo artist in history to reach the 200-million first-week-sales mark.

Moreover, "IM NAYEON" has become the album by a female K-pop soloist with the fourth-highest first-week sales in Hanteo history- bested only by BLACKPINK Lisa's "LALISA," BLACKPINK Rosé's'"R," and IU's "LILAC."

TWICE Nayeon also joins Lisa, Rosé, and IU as the only female soloists to sell 100,000 copies on the first day of sales. She is even the fourth female solo artist this year to achieve the mark, following Girls' Generation Taeyeon (with "INVU"), MAMAMOO Moonbyul (with "C.I.T.T), and (G)I-DLE Miyeon (with "MY").
