Despite skills and visuals, Cai Bing wasn't able to join Kep1er after being eliminated from Mnet's "Girls Planet 999." After failing to debut as a K-pop idol, here's the idol trainee's current status in China.
Cai Bing in 2020 to 2021: KSGIRLS, Mnet's 'Girls Planet 999'
Before trying her luck in the K-pop industry, Cai Bing established her name in China as a member of KSGIRLS. The C-pop girl group debuted in July 2020 under Kuai Shou Entertainment with their first digital single, "Colorful Horizon."
In 2021, Cai Bing revealed that she would be joining Mnet's "Girls Planet 999," which aired in the same year.

During the broadcast, she immediately captured the attention of the judges and K-pop enthusiasts due to her eye-catching dance skills. Her visuals, rap abilities and stage presence were also hyped by fans, maintaining her high-ranking position throughout the competition.
She was also lauded for her confidence and composure. Cai Bing also earned praise for being a person who always focuses on her goals.
But as she advanced in the competition, she was suddenly embroiled in attitude controversy. As a brief background, Cai Bing drew attention for her alleged rude personality towards other participants.
Aside from allegedly "stealing" credits from them, she also tried to "silence" members when voicing opinions. Others stated that she got "selfish" for screentime and recognition.

However, fans defended Cai Bing and claimed that she was "evil-edited" by Mnet. Her supporters also blamed viewing platforms' mistranslations. According to fans, her words were twisted, given that she wasn't that proficient in speaking Korean.
Nevertheless, this somehow affected her status in the competition and during Episode 11, Cai Bing was eliminated, concluding the show at rank C08.
Where is Cai Bing in 2022?
After being eliminated from the show, Cai Bing left Korea for China. She is currently managed by her new agency, Image Music. She now goes by her birth name, Cai Yubing, as well as her stage name Cai Bing.
In April this year, Cai Bing also confirmed her participation in Youku's newest reality show, "Great Dance Crew."
The program is a street dance competition led by Youku and the Hip-ho Committee of China's Dancer Association. The show also collaborated with top-tier judges [Team Leaders] who are well-known K-pop idols, including former Miss A Fei, NCT Ten, WJSN Cheng Xiao, and INTO1 Santa.
In particular, "Great Dance Crew" gathered female street dancers who will undergo rounds of screening to establish a "women's dance crew." It also aims to positively influence the younger generation about dance.
In this show, the participants who will win will have an opportunity to compete as a crew in an international street dance competition, the World Hip Hop Dance Championship (HHI).
The show ran from April 16 to June 25. Unfortunately, Cai Bing also failed to make it into the final lineup of the crew.
Currently, the female star is actively communicating with her fans through social media platforms, including Instagram.
