A lot has happened in the K-pop scene this week that it was hard to keep track of the new music releases and trending news. Many of you might not be updated on the latest happenings, so we made this article to help you catch up. Here are the K-pop comebacks and debuts and hottest events this week.
July 2022 K-pop Comebacks, Debuts (2nd Week): aespa's 'Girls,' SVT LEADERS' 'Cheers,' More!
VIVIZ's "LOVEADE"
On July 6, VIVIZ returned to the music scene for the first time since their debut this past February.

The trio released their second mini-album "Summer Vibe," which includes the title track "LOVEADE" and five other songs. In "LOVEADE," the VIVIZ members compare a couple's love to a refreshing ade beverage.
SVT LEADERS' "Cheers"
For the first time in five years, SVT LEADERS- S.Coups, Woozi, and Hoshi- came back with a new subunit song on July 7, titled "CHEERS." Their last release was "Change Up," which came out in 2017.
"CHEERS," written by the three leaders and Vernon, is an upbeat hip hop song in which the trio sings about how far they have come since their simple beginnings. This track will be included in SEVENTEEN's repackaged album "SECTOR 17," which is set to drop on July 18.
aespa's "Girls"
aespa is also part of the lineup of July K-pop comebacks, particularly in the second week. On the 8th, the quartet dropped their second mini-album "Girls," which contains the titular title song and eight other tracks including their pre-release song "Illusion" and English track "Life's Too Short."
Chungha's "Sparkling"
Kim Chungha also joined the idol groups in releasing new music this week. The female soloist released her second studio album "Bare&Rare Pt. 1," which features a total of eight tunes.

Among the tracks, "Sparkling" serves as the title song. "Sparkling" reflects the female idol's relationship with her fandom, Byulharang.
Super Junior "Mango"
Another boy group included in this week's lineup of K-pop comebacks is Super Junior, who became the first SM artist in history to release their 11th studio album. Titled "The Road: Keep on Going," the album came out on the 12th, and consists of five songs including the title track "Mango."
IRRIS "WANNA KNOW"
In addition to K-pop comebacks, the music industry also witnessed a few debuts this week- and that includes the launch of the new girl group called IRRIS.
On the 6th, the four-member girl group dropped their first mini-album "WANNA KNOW," which comprises the title song of the same name and two other tracks. "WANNA KNOW" is about unexpectedly falling in love with someone.
Apink CHOBOM "Copycat"
On July 12, Apink's first subunit called CHOBOM made its debut. The duo- consisting of Chorong and Bomi- released their first single album "Copycat," which contains three songs including the lead single of the same name.

Rolling Stone Korea Under Fire for 'Insulting' BLACKPINK Jisoo
On July 11, Rolling Stone Korea released an article about BLACKPINK. Not long after, BLINKs (BLACKPINK's fans) were angered after seeing the line about Jisoo that says, "Although she does not possess the most outstanding talent in the group as a vocalist or dancer, her growth is more apparent."

BTS J-Hope Lands Second Entry on Billboard Hot 100
On July 11 local time, Billboard announced that BTS J-Hope's "MORE" had debuted at No. 82 on Billboard Hot 100, marking the male soloist's second time to enter the chart. His first entry was his 2019 single "Chicken Noodle Soup" (feat. Becky G), which landed at No. 81.
With this latest achievement, J-Hope becomes the only fourth male K-pop soloist to have multiple entries on Billboard Hot 100, following PSY (5), BTS Suga (3), and BTS Jungkook (2).
