2AM Changmin Diet & Workout Routine: Here's How the Idol Lost Weight Over the Years
On the March 23 episode of KBS's "Star Life Theater" back in 2012, 2AM Changmin appeared along with his bandmates. He candidly talked about his experience with dieting at one point during the broadcast.
After spending the day with 2AM, reporters noticed that while the other members freely ate ramen as snacks between meals, Changmin preferred chicken breasts or sausages. Changmin recalled, "I used to weigh over 100kg. I was ashamed of myself then and tried to hide from others." He added, "I think I trained more harshly than the other trainees."

"As a singer, showing myself to the public is a part of the job," the singer further said. "I believe a performance is not just about the song, but a combination of visuals and sounds."
Therefore, the idol decided to go on a strict diet to improve his physical appearance. 2AM Changmin's original diet plan involves eating only two blocks of tofu every single day. His diet routine came with a morning exercise of running for six hours every day. As a result of doing this regularly, he lost 18kg in three weeks and about 30kg in six weeks.

After seeing good results from his weight loss plan, Changmin began to eat healthily and continued to do exercises to keep his weight down. He currently visits the gym either at dawn or in the morning on a regular basis. He does resistance training, which is one of the effective methods to help build muscle and burn fat.
About the male K-pop idol's healthy diet plan, he consumes one potato, milk, and one boiled egg for breakfast and takes multivitamins after eating. He eats chicken breast, one potato, and salad without sauce for lunch. Then, his meal for dinner comprises one chicken breast and seven boiled eggs. Therefore, he would only have four boiled eggs and a half sweet potato for his snacks.

Within five years of performing his diet routine and working out 2AM Changmin lost 30 kg, which makes him weigh 70kg as of 2012. Considering his original weight, it's no surprise that it took him years to shed many pounds. But thanks to his determination, he now boasts one of the sexiest bodies among male Korean artists.
Even when 2AM goes on a hiatus, the singer still follows his diet and workout plans to maintain his slim, ripped figure.

Lee Changmin returned to the music scene alongside his bandmates in November 2021. The quartet dropped their fourth EP "Ballad 21 FW," which marks the group's first music release after a seven-year hiatus. Their last release as a group was the studio album "Let's Talk Together" in 2014.
"Ballad 21 F/W" contains two title tracks, one written by J.Y. Park and one by Bang Si Hyuk. In particular, Park wrote and composed "No good in good-bye," while Bang wrote and composed "Should've known." The music video for each song came out on the same day as the album's release, and both MVs star 2PM Lee Junho and actress Kim So Hyun.
