On July 25, the hashtag "#protectSAKURA" trended worldwide on Twitter as many fans took to the social media platform to express their displeasure and demand Source Music to defend LE SSERAFIM Sakura from netizens creating and disseminating malicious rumors about the female idol.

In a statement released by Sakura's global fans, they explained the situation and listed their requests.

"Since March 2022, malicious rumors and serious verbal abuse targeting LE SSERAFIM Sakura have been growing rampant on the internet, which resulted in Sakura getting attacked on Korean forums with much fabricated disinformation.

In China, she also has been the subject of negative topics which were shared on TikTok. There are also numerous accounts on Weibo who have been posting various false information about her, some of them have reached over five million reads," the fans said.

LE SSERAFIM fans further explained that the false information was written and intentionally released on Korean and Chinese forums simultaneously. This disinformation was then spread to other countries through social media like Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, and the likes.

They further said that the malicious rumors about LE SSERAFIM Sakura have been going around since her early debut days. But since the fans can't do anything about it, they ask Source Music to take legal action instead.

This statement was translated to four different languages (English, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese) to reach more fans and encourage them to email it to Source Music.

Recently, LE SSERAFIM Sakura made fans more worried because of his remarks in her latest FIM-LOG. At the end of the video, the "FEARLESS" singer said, "You know your bed is the safest place, right? Your bed is the best place. The outside world is dangerous. The outside world is so scary, you know. I don't know what's happening. So everyone, stay safe in bed."

On July 8, Harper's BAZAAR Japan uploaded photos of Sakura from the pictorial and said that the LE SSERAFIM member has been selected as the cover model for the magazine's September 2022 issue, and the magazine featuring her pictures will be issued on July 20.

In the interview with Harper's BAZAAR Japan, Miyawaki Sakura expressed her affection for LE SSERAFIM, saying, "I thought LE SSERAFIM would be the last idol group in my life, and I debuted with that determination."
