About Play M Girls' Shin Suhyun + Survival Shows She Participated In
Shin Suhyun is a former trainee of Play M Entertainment. She was first introduced through YG Entertainment's survival show "MIXNINE," which aired on JTBC. After that, she was a representative of Play M, along with other trainees (including the current members of Weeekly).
Unfortunately, her journey on "MIXNINE" ended in episode 7, when she was eliminated after placing 59th. She then returned to her company as a trainee.

In 2018, Shin Suhyun competed in another reality show, Mnet's "Produce 48," which created the project girl group IZ*ONE. Sadly, she was also eliminated from the program, ranking 61st in episode 8.
Following her elimination, "Produce 48" contestant Suhyun departed from Play M Girls and Play M Entertainment. Hence, she didn't debut in the company's latest girl group, Weeekly.
Where Is Shin Suhyun Now? Status of "Produce 48" Contestant Who Almost Debuted in Weeekly
After leaving Play M Entertainment, former "MIXNINE" contestant Shin Suhyun signed with Sublime Artist Agency as a trainee. She has been with the label since 2018, and she is an actress and model.
Sublime Artist Agency is known to house several well-known artists, including GOT7 Youngjae, RAIN, former GFRIEND Yerin, Anda, Suh Ji Hye, and more. It also manages actors/actresses, such as Song Kang Ho, Lim Na Young, Jung Ji Hoon, and Ahn Hee Yeon, to name a few.
Suhyun made her acting debut in the web drama "The Reason I Can't Help But Love You," which is a teen romance school drama co-produced by the Ministry of Education and Korea Economic TV. She played the female lead Minji, who caught the attention of two of her male classmates.

In November 2019, former "Produce 48" contestant Suhyun made her small screen debut on the KBS drama "Woman of 9.9 Billion." She played the role of Ji Ha Na, a bartender who began to like the main character Kang Tae Woo (played by Kim Kang Woo) after receiving help from him.
According to this report, Suhyun prepared for her role in "Woman of 9.9 Billion" by going to a bar often to learn how to make cocktails just like a professional bartender. Thanks to her role in this drama, she won the "Best New Actor/Actress" at the 2020 Grimae Awards held by the Korean Television Producers Association.
In 2019, Shin also appeared in multiple music videos, such as OVAN & VINXEN's "Snowflake" and Hyomin's "Allure."
The actress went on to appear on more K-dramas in the following years. She played a guest role in the drama "Pop Out Boy!" in 2020 and had a supporting role in "At a Distance, Spring Is Green" in 2021.

She was also featured in more music videos, such as Yoon Do Hyun's "The Sound of Rain," MC Mong's "There Can't Be A Good Breakup," Rain's "MAGNETIC" (feat. Jackson Wang), and SEVENTEEN The8's "Side By Side (Korean version)."
This 2022, former "MIXNINE" contestant Shin Suhyun was cast in the upcoming K-drama titled "Duty After School" She will play Cha So Yeon, one of the supporting roles in the series. "Duty After School" is a sci-fi thriller that depicts the story of all college students across the country fighting against purple slime-like objects that suddenly surface.
Regarding her modeling activities, Suhyun was selected as the first model of the newly launched clothing brand HANAVO. She also currently models for the cosmetic brand MORCANCOS."
