f(x) Krystal Shows Support to Min Hee Jin's Girl Group NewJeans
K-pop idol turned actress f(x) Krystal Jung cheered for CEO Min Hee Jin, who created the first girl group NewJeans of the label ADOR under HYBE.
On August 4, the celebrity posted an Instagram Story, featuring the Spotify link to NewJeans 1st EP, "NewJeans."
Aside from sharing the debut album cover of the group, Krystal also drew attention by tagging CEO Min Hee Jin. With the post, it seems like the "Hot Summer" singer is especially showing her support to the latter. The two are, in fact, close friends after working together in the past.

From 2002 to 2018, Min Hee Jin worked under SM Entertainment. She started out as a graphic designer and eventually became the company's creative director. She handled the visual branding for the groups SHINee, EXO, f(x) and more.
f(x)'s second full-length album "Pink Tape," the brainchild of Min Hee Jin, is one of the top 100 Korean pop music masterpieces.
Meanwhile, Krystal's support to NewJeans is currently garnering attention from K-pop fans. This is because when the rookies were introduced, fans were immediately reminded of f(x), particularly the idol's visual and image.
NewJeans Makes Records With First EP 'NewJeans'
Meanwhile, the five-member group, NewJeans, is taking their first step in the music industry with their debut album "New Jeans" that will be released on August 8.
They are the first girl group to be launched by HYBE's sub-label ADOR run by CEO Min Hee Jin.
As soon as they were introduced, they recorded unusual results since their debut. According to HYBE on August 3:
"'Attention,' one of the title songs of its debut album, topped the chart of Korean Spotify's 'Daily Top Song.' In addition, 'Hype Boy' ranked second, 'Cookie' ranked fifth, and 'Hurt ranked 11th, and all four songs on the album ranked at the top of the chart."
Aside from entering the music charts, NewJeans also sold more than 440,000 copies within three days of pre-order, setting a new record for the initial chodong of girl group debut albums (one week after the release of the album).
The initial sales of the previous girl group's debut album were about 307,000 copies set by Source Music's girl group LE SSERAFIM with the album "FEARLESS," another label of HYBE.
What piqued fans' interest is the quintet breaking the routine of introducing members by revealing group concepts ahead of their debut. Instead, the new girl group revealed music video for their first song, "Attention," prior their official debut on July 22.
At the time, CEO Min Hee Jin said:
"Popular music is a culture that is very close to everyday life, so it's like clothes that I wear every day, and I'm determined to be an icon of the times like jeans, who can't get tired of wearing it anytime."
