On August 6, Girls' Generation who returned as a group after five years appeared on tvN's "Amazing Saturday," showing off their sense of entertainment and wit.

There, the members, along with the show's cast, played various games including the "Karaoke accompaniment quiz." When So Chan Whee's hit track "Tears" played, Yoona got the right answer.

According to the "Amazing Saturday" rule, Yoona had to sing "Tears" enthusiastically. The main visual looked worried before singing.

However, Yoona soon performed the song passionately as if she had given up everything— including her image.

As expected, the female star's voice proved that all members of the "Nation's Girl Group" can sing really well. Due to this, the expectations on her high notes also rose.

Unfortunately, Yoona reached her vocal range's limit and made a loud squeaky sound; despite this, she continued and that's when leader Taeyeon step in.

"NO!"

But Yoona who was already excited approached every camera and continued singing even without music, leaving the studio in big waves of laughter.

To redeem Yoona's "broken" image, Sooyoung, who confirmed that the song was one of her favorites, confidently came out. She made everyone scream with her dramatic intro to the song but she embarrassed the members even more after missing the beat and failing to sing from the start.

Fortunately, maknae Seohyun showed off stable high notes and perfectly sang "Tears," earning praises from the members and MCs.

Following the program, Yoona and Sooyoung couldn't stop but bicker about their singing battle on Instagram. Under a post uploaded by Yoona, Sooyoung commented:

"Before 'Tears' started, you said, 'I'll do it roughly, unnie you do it after me.' And then you tore it up. How was the next person supposed to be funny?"

Yoona then responded:

"There's nothing I can do in front of entertainment shows. To be honest, I had to bring anything home. (But) you took it."

Girls Generation released their seventh full-length album, "Forever 1" on August 5. The album is also in commemoration of their 15th anniversary.

As soon as the title track of the same name was unveiled, it immediately climbed to the top of both local and international charts.

As of August 8, "Forever 1" MV also reached 12M, about three days after its release.
