Is it true that former YG Entertainment CEO Yang Hyun Suk silenced Han Seo Hee about ex-iKON B.I's drug allegations? In the seventh witness interrogation with the former trainee, the court revealed more details about the matter.
Han Seo Hee Opens Up on Making Extreme Choice Following B.I's Drug Allegations
On August 8, an eighth trial was held at the 23rd Criminal of the Seoul Central District Court. The person in question was YG's founder Yang Hyun Suk, who attended the trial on charges of violating the law on the aggravated punishment of certain crimes (such as retaliation threats).
The infamous former idol-trainee Han Seo Hee also appeared as a witness, who bowed her head after failing to attend the trial last month due to health problems.
As a brief background, the trial focused on Han Seo Hee's charges of threatening retaliation against Yang to keep her silence about B.I's drug case, a former iKON member.

Earlier in 2016, Han Seo Hee reported the situation of B.I's drug purchase and administration while being investigated for smoking cannabis with BIGBANG T.O.P, but she claimed that Yang threatened and coaxed her to reverse her statement.
In response, Yang Hyun Suk denied having met Han Seo Hee but threatened her.
During the trial, she also talked about her attempted suicide in 2020:
"I conducted a cross-examination with Yang Hyun Suk in January of that year. As it got longer and there was so much trauma, I thought, 'Why did I make this an incident?' and I wanted to let it go. I just made that choice thinking that it would be over if I disappeared."
However, prosecutors questioned her why there was no mention of the threats from public interest reports, including her interview with JTBC.
Han Seo Hee clarified:
"I went out and attended the interview myself. I was scared, so I used a stand-in but the voice was my voice."
Truth About Yang Hyun Suk's Threat Against Han Seo Hee
As the trial continued, Yang Hyun Suk's lawyer interrogated Han Seo Hee about her telling whistleblower A that she would cover up the case if Yang Hyun Suk gave her money. However, the former trainee refuted this and claimed she has a recording that proved she didn't say so.
But when asked for it, Han Seo Hee failed to submit and said:
"I couldn't find it again and submit it because my mother was busy. [...] I'll turn in the recording. It's annoying, it's real."
Yang Hyun Suk's lawyer also pointed out inconsistencies against Seo Hee's initial statement on the day she was threatened.
At the end, the court stated:
"The incident happened six years ago and gained public interest but some of the testimonies do not match.
It is necessary to secure objective evidence to find out the credibility of the testimony because the statement and the phenomenon are not consistent. When the evidence is submitted, we will judge based on it."
In response, Han Seo Hee claimed that she was the victim:
"I'm not proud because I'm serving time for another crime. However, I am a clear victim. I hope Yang Hyun Suk will be punished properly."
Currently, Han Seo Hee is sentenced to one year and six months in prison for taking drugs during the probation period.
